mariofreak12
This is just a good cards to stall your opponent from attacking. This card is best for decks that discard a lot of cards like light sworn. It is also good on its own without being discarded. Please give me your insight on this card idea. Lore: Your opponent cannot activate their battle phase this turn. When this card is discarded or destroyed activate this effect; Banish this card from your graveyard, and if you do your opponent cannot activate their battle phase until after your 2nd standby phase this card was activated. ÆƵ–
Time for some surgery Your opponent cannot conduct their next Battle Phase. If this card is discarded or destroyed: you can banish this card from your Graveyard; Your opponent cannot conduct their next 2 Battle Phases. Now, this card seems like a fun stalling card. It can help your monsters stay alive for some set up shenanigans, and if your opponent is super afraid of backrow this can help you stall even longer. But perhaps this card could use something extra, something that ties into the name?
Trebuchet MS
During your opponent's turn: You can activate this card; there is no Your opponent cannot activate their Battle Phase this turn. When this card is discarded or destroyed sent to the Graveyard by a card effect: activate this effect; Banish this card from your Graveyard; and if you do your opponent cannot activate skips their Battle Phases each turn until after your 2nd Standby Phase after this card effect was activated.I'm about to mention how you can chain this card to an opponent's Main Phase 1 S/T destruction, but I've realized the turn counts don't stack and thus you can't get extra value that way. Generally, Lightsworns don't really discard (milling isn't discarding - and that's very significant), so I've changed the "discarded or destroyed" to a more general "sent to the Graveyard". This prevents it from triggering from you activating this card manually, but also prevents you from setting it off by discarding it to a cost. When I compare it to several other stall cards, this is particularly powerful, practically guaranteeing at least 1 turn's worth of safety regardless of how it goes. Would run it as a 3-of in Chain Burn as it competes with Threatening Roar for space.
