I was dueling a Yang Zing player and got the idea for this after seeing him go through his deck quickly yet his deck nearly remained the same. And that was how I came up with this archetype. Not complete set yet. The "Eternal" archetype's story: These beings were once mortal and would give away unto death. However after breaking a covenant with the deity Horakty, they were left with a sinful eternal life without an end. They were punished as they dwindled into their pain and suffering until they found each other and united. And soon these beings sought out to destroy all mortals in rage and jealousy of their gift of death and rebirth thus began their journey for redemption. [spoilersMonsters] Effect: If this card in your possession is destroyed by battle or card effect: You can Special Summon 1 monster whose ATK is 1500 or less with a different Type from your hand or Deck. If this card is Special Summoned: You can, immediately after this effect resolves, Synchro Summon 1 "Eternal" Synchro Monster using monsters you control or from your hand (this is a Quick Effect). You can only use each effect of "Eternal Phoenix" once per turn. Effect: If this card in your possession is destroyed by battle or card effect: You can Special Summon 1 monster whose ATK is 1500 or less with a different Type from your hand or Deck. If this card is Special Summoned: You can, immediately after this effect resolves, Fusion Summon 1 "Eternal" Fusion Monster by sending monsters you control or from your hand to the Graveyard (this is a Quick Effect). You can only use each effect of "Eternal Surfer" once per turn. Effect: If this card in your possession is destroyed by battle or card effect: You can Special Summon 1 monster whose ATK is 1500 or less with a different Type from your hand or Deck. If this card is Special Summoned: You can add 2 "Eternal" Pendulum Monsters with different names from your Deck to your hand. You must control no cards in your Pendulum Zones to activate and resolve this effect. You can only use each effect of "Eternal Cosmic Dragon" once per turn. Effect: If this card in your possession is destroyed by battle or card effect: You can Special Summon 1 monster whose ATK is 1500 or less with a different Type from your hand or Deck. If this card is Special Summoned: You can Special Summon 1 monster with a different Type from your Deck. You can only use each effect of "Eternal Fairies" once per turn. Effect: If this card in your possession is destroyed by battle or card effect: You can Special Summon 1 monster with a different Type whose ATK is 1500 or lower from your Graveyard. If this card is Special Summoned: You can target 1 monster in your Graveyard with a different Type, return that target to your hand. You can only use each effect of "Eternal Stone Herald" once per turn. Effect: If this card in your possession is destroyed by battle or card effect: You can Special Summon 1 monster with a different Type whose ATK is 1500 or less from your hand or Deck. If this card is Special Summoned: You can discard 1 card, then target 1 monster you control; destroy it, and if you do, add 1 monster with a different Attribute than the destroyed monster from your Deck to your hand. Effect: Must be Ritual Summoned by the effect of a "Eternal" card effect. When this card destroys a monster by battle: You can Special Summon 1 monster with a different Type from your Graveyard. You can only use each effect of "Eternal Hollow Steed" once per turn. The Written Monsters (a.k.a. The Pendulums) Eternal Cosmic WyvernLIGHT Wyrm Level 7 ATK: 1500 DEF: 1800Scale: 1Pendulum Effect: If you control a card in your other Pendulum Zone: You can destroy all cards in your Pendulum Zone, add 2 "Eternal" monsters that were used to Summon 1 "Eternal" monster from the Extra Deck from your Graveyard to your hand. Monster Effect: If this card in your possession is destroyed by battle or card effect: You can place this card in 1 of your empty Pendulum Zones instead. If this card is Special Summoned: You can add 1 Pendulum Monster from your Deck to your hand. You can only activate and resolve these effects if you control another "Eternal" monster. You can only use 1 "Eternal Cosmic Wyvern" monster effect per turn, and only once that turn. You can destroy this card, add 1 "Eternal" Ritual Monster from your Deck to your hand. You can only use this effect of "Eternal Cosmic Cannon" once per turn. Monster Effect: If this card is the only Machine-Type monster you control: This card can be treated as 2 Xyz Materials for the Xyz Summon of an Xyz Monster. You must control at least 1 other "Eternal" monster with a different Type to apply this effect. Eternal CosmicsaurusLIGHT Dinosaur Level 3 ATK: 1100 DEF: 500Scale: 5Pendulum Effect: Once, while this card is face-up: You can destroy 1 monster you control; and if you do, this card's Pendulum Scale becomes equal to the Level of that destroyed monster. Monster Effect: If this card is Special Summoned: You can target 1 Spell/Trap on the field; destroy it. Its name becomes "Eternal Lifeforce" and gains this effect:- If this card in your possession is destroyed: You can Special Summon 1 "Eternal" monster from your Deck, and if you do, add 1 "Eternity" Spell/Trap from your Deck to your hand. Effect: You can target 1 "Eternal" monster you control; this turn, you can Normal Summon 1 "Eternal" monster with a different Type than the targeted monster from your hand. You can only use this effect of "Beyond the Eternal Horizon" once per turn. Monsters Normal Summoned with this effect can attack directly, and if they do, destroy them after damage calculations. Effect:If a monster you control is destroyed by an opponent's monster (either by battle or card effect): You can shuffle your destroyed monster into your Deck; and if you do, target the monster that destroyed it, negate its effects, and make its ATK 0. Dova Posted October 9, 2015 Report Share Posted October 9, 2015 Well, this archetype seems fair, balance, and innovative considering it was based off Yang Zing. The only problems I can see is a couple of ":" replaced with "," and Clock being a over-powered, considering the only your opponent is going to get his monster back is with one of those control returning s/t, and the attack is also negated. It doesn't even target, giving it a lot of power. I see this deck very mergable with other decks, even Yang Zing. Even most of the extra deck monsters are splashable. However, I see the ritual monsters as being easy to get out, considering you can get two out in one turn, but I'm not sure how dangerous that would actually be, so I'm just notifying you how splashable they are too. Notthefreakingme Posted November 8, 2015 Report Share Posted November 8, 2015 Eternal Acolyte can be a devastating instant fusion target if necessary, instead of going for norden to special one from grave and then wasting castel to shuffle something back into the deck, just go with Acolyte to do that for you. I say that is some clever stuff. Also, nice archtype and keep up the good work.Read Acolyte again and saw that he can change all to machines to Special Summon Chimeratech.
