Invitation Into the Burning Abyss

Recommended Posts

Equip only to a "Burning Abyss" monster. It cannot be destroyed by card effects. The equipped monster is treated as a Tuner monster. If this card is sent from the field to the Graveyard: You can discard 1 "Burning Abyss" monster from your hand; add this card back to your hand. This effect of "Invitation Into the Burning Abyss" can only be used once per turn

Support for possibly my favorite archetype in the game and makes running some of my favorite Synchros a little easier in the Burning Abyss deck. Call it a transition from XYZ all day to a bit of Synchro twist

Seems useful in that type of deck to protect your monster some until you're able to use it to synchro summon or if you want to attack without worry of trap destroying it. And a good spell regeneration if you have a "burning abyss" monster to spare. It is balanced because it can only equip to a specific archetype and the fact that you have to discard to use last effect .

You know, if anything else, This card can let you be more spontanious with the Archetype/Dek; Equip to a BA, and you can play other monsters without your BA self-destructing. So it opens up the possibility of outside plays and other shenanigans. So added variety is always an amusing bit. Plus, this goes with what TC was mentioning, on how it opens up other plays; So likely he means turning any BA into a Tuner, dropping Guide or whatever, and then going into Trishula Mist Wurm.
