While this card is face-up on the field, its Level is equal to your opponent's monster with the highest amount of Level Stars. If your Opponent controls a face-up Xyz monster(s), This card's Level is treated as the amount of combined Level Stars of the Xyz Materials of the highest Rank Xyz Monster. Trebuchet MS
This card can only Cannot be Normal or Special Summoned (but can be Normal Set) from your hand in face-down Defense Position. When This card's is face-up on the field, its Level is equal to your opponent's monster with the highest amount of Level Stars among monsters your opponent controls. If your opponent controls an face-up Xyz Monster(s), this card's Level is instead equal to the total treated as the amount of combined Levels Stars of the Xyz Materials attached to of the highest Rank Xyz Monster your opponent controls with the highest Rank. During the Damage Step, this card gains ATK and DEF equal to its Level x500. During the End Phase of your turn: Return this card to the your hand. What happens if, lets say, the opponent controls a Number 7 with 2 LV7 Xyz Materials and a Dracossack with 1 LV7 Material? Will this card's Level be 7 or 14? Will Xyz Monsters that are attached as Materials (due to Rank-Up effects) not qualify for this calculation?
Horu
It would be a level 14 assuming you're smart enough to choose the monster with more materials since the combined total of the materials would be 14. The idea is generally based on how the creature really is. Since it grows stronger based on how close said person is to perfection. Most of the time when you have 2 monsters that are equal in a specified area, you get to choose. In which I'm sure that 90% of people would choose the Number 7 since it still has 2 materials attached and this creature would be a 7000 DEF wall as opposed to the latter that would only put it at 3500 DEF. It would count said materials accordingly to total level stars. The general idea is to keep it hidden since your hand would represent the bottom of Victory Tower. Generally, it works as a brick wall against big attackers. Blue-Eyes White DragonLevel 8 3000/2500 A Bao A QuLevel 8 4000/4000 Get the general mechanic? Trebuchet MS
So, in the off chance of a Xyz Rank tie, I would add the following... ...If your opponent controls an Xyz Monster with Xyz Materials, this card's Level is instead equal to the total Levels of the Xyz Materials attached to the Xyz Monster your opponent controls with the highest Rank. (If there's a tie, choose the highest total Levels from among those monsters.) This reminder text means that the card will constantly try to be the highest Level in the off chance of a Rank tie with different totals, and the player cannot arbitrariliy change it as they will. Adding the "with Xyz Materials" part minimizes the chance of this card being Level 0.
Horu
I didn't think about that part. Though I do want it to act like the real being in part that it lays dormant until somebody enters the tower.
