Target 1 Rank 4 Xyz Monster you control; Special Summon from your Extra Deck, 1 "Number C" monster that is 1 Rank higher than that monster you control, by using it as the Xyz Material. (This Special Summon is treated as an Xyz Summon. Xyz Materials attached to that target also become Xyz Materials on the Summoned monster.)

 

 Honor DARK can eat other monsters/revive itself if you play Ark
Umbral Masquerade is MST with legs/Negates effects + kills the hand + halves LP if you run 104
Ragnafinity Banishes monsters that boost there own ATK/is a quick effect
Ray-V destroys monsters/deals damage equal to it's ATK, if you run Utopia monsters
Crest of Horror has 4K ATK that blows up the opponent's field if they attack

I honestly love This card. However, needing a dedicated Extra Deck is the ironic downside to This card.

I remember when this was the most diverse rank up.

It's still one of the best of the Rank-Ups, because it's pseudo-generic. It gives you access to any of the Rank 5 Number Cs, which is...quite a lot. In fact, I find a bunch of Rank 4 spam Decks can utilize this card and become a Rank-Up Deck. My personal favorite is Rank-Up Heraldics, though, followed by Rank-Up Gogogo Zombies.

 

However, it's probably part of the reason why almost all the Over-Hundred Numbers are Rank 4s, since 101, 102, 103, and 104 were introduced in the anime after this card was (and 101/103 LONG after this card). We already had 105 and 106 as Rank 4, but 107 as Rank 8.

 

And coupled with Utopia support often wanting a Rank-Up Magic involved, Utopia Rank Up is actually legit. There's already Utopia support cards and ZWs, and with Rank-Up Magic, you can also get C39-V, C39-Victory, Astral Force for No.39- Beyond, ditch a RUM for Utopic Dragon, which lets you revive Numbers, or ditch a Rank-Up Magic for S0.
