Twilight Beauty Katrina

Twilight Beauty Katrina

Level 4 | LIGHT | Warrior | Effect

1700/1400

This card is treated as a DARK monster while in face-up defence position. This card gains the following effect while it is of said attribute:
* LIGHT: Once per turn, you can discard 1 card; shuffle 1 card your opponent controls to the deck. This card can't attack the turn you used this effect.
* DARK: Banish 2 cards from your graveyard; Special summon a Level 3 or lower LIGHT monster from your hand.

Some lore: "This woman is notorious on her kingdom for her beauty and for her prowess with a sword, but some know that she can become as devilish as the most brutal executioners when she loses her composure."

So I take you are trying to incorporate this in that scarcely used twilight archetype? Though I can't help you much in making this help that archetype... I can tell you the functionality of this card by itself.

Light effect is nice and easy to use... Some may abhor it for being a non-targetting shuffle effect, but I think it is somewhat justified because of the discard cost.

Dark effect is.... Well not very useful or rewarding to get her to switch positions. As you are only using resources that you could otherwise get out by more viable means like Emergency Teleport, or say Red Resonator. I guess the banishing cost helps you get that 1 Black Luster Soldier (can't remember the name sorry).

I think the Light effect should be the Dark effect and vice versa... As that would give you more of a reason to try and get her to switch to Defense Position. That or make the Dark effect more applicable and less conditional to use.

So... Any thoughts someone could have about this card?

Keep in mind the bump rule for CC is 12 hours or less (so don't be impatient if no one replies right away; CC tends to be like that).

Anyway, LIGHT effect is basically a Castel of sorts, except without a restriction on what it hits (obviously your opponent's stuff) and loss of your attack.

Last time I checked, there are no LIGHT monsters that'll trigger if sent to the Graveyard, but getting non-targeting bouncing is still a bit much, even with the drawbacks.

DARK one is somewhat iffy, and will assume you have a Level 3 Tuner in hand first; suppose you can use to banish stuff like Eclipse Wyvern or something, but yeah only worthwhile targets are either Birdman or the newly released Fuyu Sakura (Floating Ghost & Cherry Blossom).

As for the BLS, I assume you mean Envoy of the Twilight.

Welp, to be honest I plan to use those on the deck, but I was meaning creating a whole lot of cards with 2 different effects for the battle position it is on. Thus why I said "potential". But I think I'll change the DARK effect to special summon 1 Level 3 or lower LIGHT monster from the hand. I'm just happy my OCG errors weren't so notorious... (There's always a first time, right? XD)
