Once while this card is face-up on the field, you can target 1 Warrior type monster in your graveyard, when this card leaves the field; special summon the targeted monster. Once per turn, you can banish 1 Warrior type monster from your graveyard; add this card from your graveyard to your hand. You can only control 1 "Gladiator From the Future".

 

You know, I wanted to do warrior support, maybe this will help E-HERO and Masked HERO, but... meh, wasn't what I originally planned...

The first effect doesn't seem to have any restrictions. So, after I summon this card, I can target every Warrior in my Graveyard, turning this into a field-flood when this card leaves the field?

 

Perhaps it would be better to have this first effect trigger when the card is Summoned, and restrict the target by Level or any stat.

 

Once that glitch is worked out, it feels like a decent general support card, being what amounts to a consistent floater compatible with several Decks. Since using it for an Xyz Summon isn't considered it leaving the field, it also can't be just thrown into and support some R4NK build.

Make it so the 1st effect can only be used once while the card is on the field. Give the second effect a hard once per turn.

Seems a bit too generic to me, but considering the state of the current meta, Heroes need the boost.

Hmm, the OPT restriction on the second effect will reset itself each time this card leaves the Graveyard. Which is every time you use it. Let me handle this:

 

 

You can only control 1 "Gladiator From the Future". Once while this card is face-up on the field: You can target 1 Warrior-Type monster in your Graveyard; Special Summon that target from the Graveyard when this card leaves the field; special summon the targeted monster. Once per turn, You can banish 1 Warrior-Type monster from your Graveyard; add this card from your Graveyard to your hand. You can only use this effect of "Gladiator From the Future" once per turn. You can only control 1 "Gladiator From the Future".

With a once-per-turn-per-copy restriction it will work as intended, albeit with the side effect of stopping other copies from doing the same.
