The Nyx Avatar
LORE:1 LIGHT Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner monstersWhen this card is Synchro Summoned, you can banish 1 Fusion, Ritual, or Pendulum Monster on the field, then draw 1 card. While this card is face-up on the field, negate the effects of monsters that are banished or are in the Graveyard.

Hello my name is Enguin
Hmm. It's not fully generic as it does require a light tuner but Veiler is getting popular again and any deck can run it so it is still accessible to basically everything. The on summon banish doesn't target and is a +2 with the draw, which alleviates the general -1 of the summon but I don't think there's any synchro in the game that gives you a net plus on summon lower than a 9 like Trish or Mist Wurm, and then even they are less likely to be plusses as their high level means the amount of materials will likely be more than 2. However, the fact that it can't hit synchros or Xyz hurts its strength in that department. Obviously banishing pendulums is a good thing, but what pendulum monsters are out there that get left out that are actually that important? Nekroz and Shaddoll get hurt hugely by this but they're gone away at the moment, and apart from the Dinomister fusion I can't think of any that are used except Noden which is never going to be just out on the field. You could banish your own stuff but that'd be a shite play. Moving on from that, the blanket negation is really strong. I mean, I don't know what bar Shirinui has banished effects, but grave effects are still a big and prominent thing. It has no protection but it has strong stats, and while it can be taken down without too much hassle it's bait for Raigeki or the like in decks that are grave-reliant and have no outs to it other than that. So overall I can't decide if it's too strong or too weak. The non-target banish looks amazing until you realise it can only hit 3/7 monster types, and 2 of the 3 it can hit are the least commonly seen, so its power in that department becomes conditionally incredible but otherwise egh. The mass negation is a good effect, this card does basically fuck Nekroz and Shaddolls, but there are plenty of decks apart from those that heavily utilise graveyard effects. I think I'd let it banish any monster but maybe make it target to counteract the increased power that gives it.
