Doppelganger Decoy

Spell | Quick-Play

When 1 or more monsters you control would leave the field by an opponent's card effect, you can target any number of monster cards on your side of the field; Send 1 card of the same name as the targeted card(s) (one per targeted card) from your Deck to the graveyard, and if you do, cards of the same name as the sent card(s) are unaffected by your opponent's card effects until the next End Phase.

Problem is that the card relies on you to actually carry multiple copies of said monster(s) in the Deck at that time, though it does have its uses with monsters that gain those names while on the field. Being immune to card effects is nice, but battle destruction will still screw you over.

 

In those cases, you'll likely be milling the original versions to protect other stuff that just inherits the name of those cards. Would be really nice if it could be the other way around, but that isn't the case.

Well... I didn't make this for Cyber decks... It just came into my mind a little while ago and I decided to materialize it... and well, since the name implies it is simply a decoy, making it indestructible by battle wouldn't fit the name that much as being a decoy for the effects XD...
