Fluffyfish
Venoms are really cool. I love the Field-Spell to death, and will always worship our deity Vennominaga. But the deck really has no means to keep itself together. The field-spell supports a passive/stall playstyle, but there's no cards besides Ambush Fangs that remotely helps with this, and you know you can't sit on those low ATK monsters, so the deck kinda kills itself.Meanwhile you have this Vennominon playstyle of getting lots of Reptile-type monsters in the Graveyard, to create a beater that is nothing but a high atk monster (IF you have a decent amount in grave. Reminder that there isn't a single one with a decent in-grave effect).Vennominaga is a goddess. A shame you aren't going to summon her 9/10 games. With these cards, I have a couple objectives in mind:- Give the deck some kind of play involving the low Level Venom monsters. Making them useful after placing their counters. Also making Boa usable.- Emphasize the Deck's dependency on "Venom Swamp" and give it a couple options for a more passive playstyle (that is not passive just for the sake of being passive).- Connect the Venom passive playstyle with the graveyard-fill/Vennominaga playstyle.- Allow the Deck to tech a couple unrelated Reptile-Type monsters without suffering too much from it. And here we go:[spoiler=Venom Support]Venom HatchlingLevel 2 - DARK - Reptile/Tuner/Effect - 200/800If there is a face-up "Venom Swamp" on the field, while your opponent controls a monster and you control no monsters: You can Special Summon this card from your hand or Graveyard, but banish it when it leaves the field. When this card is Summoned: You can Special Summon 1 "Venom" monster from your hand, and if you do, target 1 monster your opponent controls; place 1 Venom Counter on it. You can only use each effect of "Venom Hatchling" once per turn. Venom ViperLevel 3 - DARK - Reptile/Tuner/Effect - 1200/600You can Special Summon this card (from your hand) by removing 2 Venom Counters from 1 monster on the field. If this card on the field is sent to the Graveyard as a Synchro Material for the Synchro Summon of a Reptile-Type Synchro Monster: You can add 1 Reptile-Type monster from your Deck to your hand. You can only use this effect of "Venom Viper" once per turn. Venom ServantLevel 4 - DARK - Reptile/Effect - 1500/1500When this card is Summoned: Add 1 "Venom" card from your Deck to your hand, and if there is a "Venom Swamp" face-up on the field, you can target 1 monster your opponent controls; place 1 Venom Counter on it. You can banish this card from your Graveyard: Add 1 "Snake Deity" Trap Card from your Deck to your hand. You can only use each effect of "Venom Servant" once per turn. Venom HydraLevel 6 - DARK - Reptile/Synchro/Effect - 2100/16001 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner monstersWhen this card is Synchro Summoned: You can destroy all monsters on the field with a Venom Counter(s), and if you do, inflict damage to your opponent equal to the total number of Venom Counter(s) that were on the monsters destroyed x 600. Once per turn, during your opponent's Main Phase or Battle Phase, you can target 1 monster your opponent controls; place 1 Venom Counter on it, and if you do, it cannot declare an attack this turn and its effects are negated until the End Phase Venom AnacondaLevel 7 - DARK - Reptile/Synchro/Effect - 2600/24001 Reptile-Type Tuner monster + 1 or more non-Tuner monstersIf this card attacks, your opponent cannot activate cards or effects until the End Phase. If this card battles an opponent's monster: You can send 1 Reptile-Type monster from your Deck to your Graveyard, then place 2 Venom Counters on the monster this card is battling. Once per turn, during either player's turn, when a card or effect is activated that targets this card: You can banish 1 Reptile-Type monster from your Graveyard, then negate that activation, and if you do, destroy that card. Infested Venom AreaTrap/NormalIf there is no face-up "Venom Swamp" on the field: Place 1 "Venom Swamp" directly from your Deck or Graveyard into your Field Spell Card Zone, otherwise place 1 Venom Counter on all monsters on the field, except "Venom" monsters. This turn, "Venom" monsters you control cannot be destroyed by battle, and if they battle an opponent's monster: Place 1 Venom Counter on that monster at the start of the Damage Step. If a "Venom" monster(s) you control is destroyed: You can banish this card from your Graveyard, then target 1 Reptile-Type monster in your Graveyard; Special Summon it. You can only use this effect of "Infested Venom Area" once per turn. Treacherous Venom TransferTrap/NormalOnce per turn, you can target 1 monster with a Venom Counter(s) and 1 other monster on the field; remove 1 Venom Counter from the first target, and if you do, place 1 Venom Counter on the second target. Once per turn, if a Reptile-Type monster you control would be destroyed by battle, its not destroyed. [spoiler=Comments]Ta dah! Synchro Reptiles!I felt like this was the best way to make some use of the venom monsters, making you want to use them for their counters and Synchroing afterwards. And now there is a way to summon Venom Boa. Yay! (How the hell they thought boa would be used?).The 1st Tuner does a decent job at being summonable from the Graveyard, and is able to summon any Venom monster from your hand when it does (so you can summon Boa this way). Normal Summoning it is also great since it means it won't be banished (so you can reuse it). The 2nd Tuner was made mainly to help a non-pure Venom build. Although it can't summon itself from the Graveyard, it allows you to add any Reptile-Type monster to your hand (it was also made so you wouldn't need to rely on King of the Feral Imps for that extra consistency. Because who needs Xyz?).The searcher not only helps the deck to grab a Venom Swamp to start the fun, it also helps the Deck if you are going for a "Vennominaga turbo" variant (seriously, a search for that trap card was necessary). And I thought it would be fun to include the others "Snake Deity" cards was well.See that 2 of them benefit you from being sent from Deck to Grave (all hail Snake Rain). The 1st Synchro both rewards you for placing the counters (you can't really expect to venom them dry just by using counters), and gives a nice passive option, by blocking an attack and negating an effect to hopefully keep the field in your favor for a few more turns. The 2nd one is more of a aggressive one (its kind of hard to summon for being a Lv7, mainly the tuner + Boa, but its worth summoning most of the time), that plays around with the graveyard-fill style and being able to kill anything with 3500 or less atk (if Venom Swamp is on the field, that is).The 1st Trap card is probably the most convenient card for allowing you to place a Venom Swamp from whenever and also supporting a passive playstyle (you aren't going to lose your monsters this turn), and its Graveyard effect both helps keeping up when your monsters die and/or to give a smooth transition from the passive to the Vennominom playstyle (I think something that does this is really necessary). The 2nd Trap's role is mainly to allow you to use non-Venom monsters together with Venom Swamp to virtually negate its effects on 1 monster of yours (also making your opponent's monsters suffer while doing it). You would still want to run it in full Venom decks because you can just transfer 1 VCounter from an opponent's monster to the other (probably to the stronger). Of course, its made to support Reptile-Type monsters either way. See ya.
Dova
Hatching is an easy monster to get out, so rather mandatory for this kind of deck, considering how weak it is. Free Tuner, hooray! Servant has that 'on summon search anything you want' which is again is crucial to a lot of archetypes, and opt on that prevents any form of abuse. Even though I would like to see an abuse with it someone would find a way to abuse it outside of Venom. Adding Synchros to the Archetype really changes how one would build a deck, considering how plain weak the Deck normally is. Hydra's nuke effect is fine because its not Ring of Destruction, rather counter based, and the second effect only works during the MP, so it's also pretty balanced. I fail to see how Anaconda would get out, because, yes, Venoms have a Level 5, but so far the only way to get out is Tribute Summoning, and if you're not monarchs, you gonna die. If you could get out the Level 5 fast this card would be useful, but currently, not too powerful to waste a Normal Summon for. The trap is great! It really helps build on the Archetype, and provides them with whatever they need. Just change "monster you control" to "monster(s) you control" in case your opponent Raigekis rather than Raigeki Break.
Snatch Steal
LET ME TELL Y'ALL A STORY.When I was 5, I was an ignorant little s***.I confused Japan for China and told my Kindergarten/Chinese teacher that I liked Pokemon. She later bought me an Allure Queen bootleg box full of fake yugioh cards. I remember getting several """"amazing""""" cards from that set, including Venominaga.Bless this post. Fluffyfish
Thanks for the comments.I'm still on the fence whether giving the Deck a Synchro playstyle would be shifting it too much from what it is now, but I still believe it to be the best way to fix the existing issues. Glad you guys liked the trap, its possibly my favorite of these cards (since it really fits the passive playstyle nicely). Also, while looking at the comments, I finally realized what was that feeling of "I'm missing something".I forgot I had planned to give the deck a way to be able to tech some non-Venom monsters while using Venom Swamp. Thus I added 2 cards to the bundle.1 of them was also made to solve the Anaconda issue (if you thought of a Lv3 Tuner, you are right).
