My story

Almost seven years ago, my hometown was almost swallowed byy the worst flood our State had seen in 500 years.

I am not ashamed to admit it........I was scared.............

We fought the Red River.....Went up againt a river that finally crested at 41 feet, ignored the city engineer's advising to evacuate.....

And won.

I honestly cried rewatching these old videos.

I will not cower before hate messages, racist dipshits, frustration, or anxiety. I will not be devoured by my depression, frustration, or anxiety.

Two feet.... TWO FEET. That is how close my entire hometown came to being washed away.

I know I'm not the bravest, or the strongest, or the smartest, or the most interesting, but ( most ) of the people here are my friends, and I care about those people. They've been there for me, and I want to be able to repay that kindness, and be here for them if needed. As for not playing, I am willing to bet a lot of people on here don't actually play the game anymore. Big deal.

In otherwords, I'm not going anywhere.

SO I PLAY MY FAVORITE SONG.

Who are you? I was in Grand Forks at the time, I stayed there for the winter after the sugar beat trucking stopped. I left the city when the flooding was beginning to get really bad and moved out east. It was a bad time, I had the luxury of not having my roots in the area but it was bad.

This guy.... he got some balls.

I don't think we've ever spoken before, but I feel like I should poke my head in and show you some support. Props for standing up for yourself. Not everyone around these parts can do so in stride like that. You've earned my respect, sir.
