Yogg-Saron
Pestering Imp [spoiler=Lore]Once per turn, you can equip this card to a monster you control, OR unequip it to Special Summon this card in face-up Attack Position. When the equipped monster inflicts battle damage to your opponent: Look at your opponent's hand, select 1 card in it, and discard that card. (A monster can only be equipped with 1 Union Monster at a time. If the equipped monster would be destroyed by battle, this card is destroyed instead.) While Confiscation is banned in TCG, the effect just doesn't seem as deadly or overpowered anymore. While still an incredible effect, for a virtually no cost (1000 LP), I can see why it is still banned. But say we added that effect to a monster card. But not just any monster card, a Union monster card. With this the powerful effect has a boundary to it's usefulness because you have to equip this Imp to a fairly powerful monster in order to get some use out of it. Though the card is easily Special Summoned by some cards, the effect itself definitely isn't the strongest at this point in the meta. And I think it would be a strong fit into most Aggro decks. Needs a bit of planning and you will have full control of the duel by knowing your opponent's cards in hand, and being able to take care of one. (GigaDrillBreaker)
Quick note: Jazinkay was great to compile all those card arts, and they are a fantastic resource, but he didn't create any of them. That is like crediting Netflix with creating Friends. Anyway, I actually really like this. The effect reminds me of Yata, in that it is a slow card that punishes weak, empty boards. Additionally, it requires another card for it to work, which both slows it down further and opens up potential for combos. Discard is a tricky effect to make work, but I think this does a fantastic job. No particular deck comes to mind that could use this, but really it just needs to be something that doesn't put a large emphasis on the normal summon and can consistently attack directly. Understood and fixed. Yes in quite a few instances this could be abused by some decks. But I think that is great, adds more variety to the deck pool that would otherwise not see play.
