Ryusei the Morning Star
Do you have any of the Qli builds? I'm a bit surprised they've been doing as well as they have in all honesty...https://m.facebook.com/yugioharcv2014/mediaset?album=pb.613066015426668

Kaiji
I don't mean to sound like an ass but a lot of the data being collected is only relevant for the first 8 days of the format as they depict an environment where TDIL wouldnt be released in the near future. We can't really say for sure or make speculations like this until TDIL is fully spoiled because that's what the majority of the format will be played in starting April 9th. As of now, I really don't think it will change much except maybe the inclusion of DM in the Metagame...but Trickclown came out of literal nowhere and had a pretty drastic effect on the Meta after that...so you're likely right here. I'd be shocked if something magically made the top 2 vanish though
Ryusei the Morning Star
OCG Metagame in Japan※ Applying April 2016 limit regulation18th March -17th April201627 tournaments2,463 decks522 - Blue-Eyes516 - Burning Abyss 234 - Pendulum Variants 202 - Qliphort143 - Monarch 115 - Nekroz 108 - D/D 105 - HERO 60 - Shaddoll 56 - Mermail Atlantean 402 - Others 2,463 - Total April 2016 (3rd - 17th April)298 - Blue-Eyes257 - Burning Abyss variants 155 - Pendulum variants 90 - Qliphort 80 - Monarch 56 - D/D 52 - Nekroz43 - HERO 30 - Shaddoll 19 - Mermail Atlantean 10 - Infernoid 184 - Others 1,274 - Total I'd say things are very healthy as is. Maybe the top decks could use a few slaps, such as: CoD limit (Qli), Graff&Cir Semi or Breaksword Limit (PK-Fire)Kerin Limit or Sky Iris limit (Pendulum) and Awakening and/or Spirit Limit (Blue Eyes) I don't see the movie pack changing much other than maybe increasing the margin of Blue Eyes to cross the 30% mark or moving Shaddolls up a bit with the new support. Collector Pack also doesn't seem to create too much of a shake up. Nothing is too hard to side again and all the sides are fairly effective. With DD Crow hitting the top two, and Wavering+2-3 Rektor being a great out to Pendulums, I'd say we got a damn good format here.
Ryusei the Morning Star
Well both the Osaka and Tokyo WCS 2016 Domestic qualifiers are out (top 2 qualify) Osaka: 4-2 4-1 2nd (qualified) 1st (qualified) Tokyo 2nd (qualified) 1st (qualified) Tokyo 2nd No super poly in Metals is really the only confusing bit
Kaiji
Super Poly is awful, why would you trade 3 cards for a vanilla in a pendulum deck that requires at least 4 cards for your deck to function (ie convert scales and pendulum for more than 1) in a format where no Norden exists. Might sheet out a vanilla, but it seems a decent form of removal vs the other three main decks Agreed that the deck need 4 cards, but something like harbinger can really set you back right? It just seemed like a good solution to Spirit-Harbinger feild or w/e mess PK can sheet out
Kaiji
Kirin is your solution as it ignores Gospel and ends Azure Eye's career its why it's at 6 copies, in the case of Harbinger + Spirit + GOSPEL (the only reason you'd even see that board) you are realistically only losing 1 Scale and kirin + Normal solves that board (Majeshitter Bunbun). You can also only SS 1 at a time, at which point you would need to bounce back Targeting harbinger. For one that sets up a 5500 azure to the face. Meanwhile with super poly you could have outed that field with a normal set (hard to stop), and a discard in hand. While its limited it should be the clear best answer
Kaiji
I don't think you realize that 38 Azure is uncommon, you can bounce Azure eyes during standby phase as it's effect to prevent targeting starts a chain, you have a Normal summon to bounce, going second you start with 6 cards, and any non pendulum combo piece in the deck serves as an out (Cyber Stein, Gofu) You proved nothing as by not paying attention to the details you came to an incomplete conclusion.Like blue eyes can't board both without opening Silver's Cry + Gospel or use Soul Charge Spirit Dragon and Number 38 are mutually exclusive summons as it requires at least 3 8s on board when the deck is built to summon 2 during M1 (ancient white stone triggering usually boards the third but it's at EP)

The point I'm trying to make is Super Poly outs just about any field that Blue Eyes can make. It's honestly down to Neo Ultimate and DMD that Sups cant out, neither of which are that big of a problem w/ regards to Blue Eyes Kirin on the other hand, while a great out, tends to not be able to do it so easily if for nothing else only being ss2 and targeting In that regards, I don't get how Super Poly is awful
Kaiji
No back pedaling on this train BOI, you've gotten whipped and making up absurd scenarios to prove nothing worthwhile, when the the fact is you are advocating to play worse cards when better engine outs already exist. "Unlikely T1" shows your inexperience as anything past that rarely matters as Kirin can solve much smaller boards than the absurd one you described on its own, while preventing you from establishing one and giving you the ability to establish your own board...later on as the game progresses really just screams "draw soul charge"

Super poly does NONE of that sheet. It's not back peddling if you ignored it the last few times I brought it up Threat removal I guess, I was pretty sure there was on that required 2 metals+2 monsters below/= 3k which basically anything in the meta game currently.
