Casual Multiples Review Thread

Recommended Posts

Hello, everyone. Due to the dying state of Cardmaking because splicing somehow got popular (Senior Members), and Dova's current absence in the Advanced Multiple Review Thread, I've decided to start one in Casuals for the sake of Casual cards ONLY.

[spoiler=Why]It's been too much of a burden lately to write good reviews. Thank God for individuals like Shadow_liepard, who had helped me with a few on the Advanced Multiples. Also, we don't have a Casual Multiples Review Thread, and I thought that I could do better in this by giving more advice instead of pointing at faults.

I believe that a lot of new Cardmakers start out in Casuals, and that I can help provide advice and tips so that they would gain more experience in what is expected more for Advanced cards. Note that I won't be providing as much detail for these reviews as I do in the Advanced Multiples, because I'm focusing on giving advice so that YOU can figure out a solution to the problems. This is what will make you grow as a Cardmaker, and I believe that you will become experienced faster this way.

This is also done in order to promote members to post more cards.

[spoiler=Rules]Same as the Advanced Multiple Review Thread. However, I will be focusing on giving advice more as opposed to focusing on the metagame. Also, the rating system might be in check. Keep this in mind.

Put a :3 face so I know that you've read this. Otherwise, I'll probably reject your request.

Also, please give a rep to the reviewer who looked at your archetype... Please? =3

AND JESUS CHRIST NO MORE THAN 15 CARDS, A LITTLE OVER 15 IS OKAY BUT 19< IS ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS.

[spoiler=Current People Who Still Work Here]Dova

Yuuji Kazami the slave imo

Enguin

Shadow_liepard (If she still wishes to remain one)

To sign up to become a reviewer, you must be able to show that you can make posts that are of Advanced Singles/Multiples worthy. I usually leave it up to Dova to pick the reviewers, but I have fairly good judgment as well.

[spoiler=Current Requests]

1. This thing is useless.

2.

3.

4.

5.

Yeah, it seems like not a lot of people drop in to Casual for reviews and such.  I'd volunteer if I had the confidence for it.  :S

But uh, I do have one question; would this also encompass posts in the Experimental and Joke subsections, or would those not qualify as Casual under the rules?

Technically, due to preference, most of the joke cards wouldn't need a review since they are all for laughs. However, if we're talking experimentals with a solid archetype and theme, then it's a different matter. Reviews will still be given even if the type doesn't exist, as long as it's approaching to the level of Advanced Cards.

I'm surprised that no one has taken up any offers in this thread. Very well, if nobody wishes for their casual sets to be reviewed, then I will lock this thread and focus completely on the Advanced Multiple thread instead.

I'll wait about a day or two before doing so. Consider this a last call.

Alright, I already finished Yami's. I'll be looking at yours now.

As a piece of advice, any archetype that usually has more than 15 cards tend to ward off reviewers. I'm already experienced in reviewing large sets, but it's just a heads up for you in the future if you create anymore archetypes. Start with about 10 cards at a time, and slowly work your way from there. Otherwise, it might be better to separate a large archetype like that one into 2 different sets that support each other.

...You have about 30 cards for the archetype. Multiply 30 and my average time for doing a singles card, which is usually about 5-10 mins depending on the complexity.

Factor in that I actually am still a Grade 12 student with a life, and that I have other hobbies such as Badminton, and that I am going to be going to University this year and wouldn't want to lose my BSc. Science Honors with major Pharmacology admission, as well as taking Calculus AP, Chemistry 35 AP, Biology 35 AP, Physics AP, and English 30-1 in one semester, I have to put my own priorities above yours.

Sorry if it's slow, but I'm trying to give everyone reviews as well, not just you. There are other Cardmakers that I'm watching over who are in the same position that you are, and I spread my CnC's in all advanced and casual categories (minus Experimental/Joke as I rarely go there).

Posting that did not help your case. Not one bit.

Sigh, no one ever reads the rules.

But you're polite, so I can't refuse lol. I'll finish yours soon, okay? =)

Mind reviewing my "Household" archetype? Dova has already but I have followed most of those suggestions and want to see someone else's opinion the archetype itself. I have yet to actually bring them onto a site like duel portal as their main monsters are not completed yet.
