Entropy Cards (10/?) [WRITTEN]

Hello, fine peoples!

 

So Chaos is a thing so that gives LIGHT and DARKs an extra utility just because of their Attribute.  What if the other four Attributes banded together in a similar way?  That is the base thought behind these "Entropy" cards.  Like Chaos, though, they aren't an archetype so... yeah.  After each card/group of cards is a little explanation in italics of my reasoning behind the design.

Entropy Dust Knight

EARTH ****

Warrior/Effect

If this monster is sent from the field to the Graveyard, you can add 1 Warrior-type monster with 1400 ATK and 1200 DEF from your Deck to your Hand.  When a monster is Set, you can discard this card; send 1 FIRE monster, 1 WATER monster, and 1 WIND monster from your Deck to the Graveyard.

1400/1200

 

Entropy Brushfire Knight

FIRE ****

Warrior/Effect

If this monster is sent from the field to the Graveyard, you can add 1 Warrior-type monster with 1400 ATK and 1200 DEF from your Deck to your Hand.  When a monster you control is destroyed, you can discard this card; send 1 EARTH monster, 1 WATER monster, and 1 WIND monster from your Deck to the Graveyard.

1400/1200

 

Entropy Shore Knight

WATER ****

Warrior/Effect

If this monster is sent from the field to the Graveyard, you can add 1 Warrior-type monster with 1400 ATK and 1200 DEF from your Deck to your Hand.  When a monster changes its battle position, you can discard this card; send 1 FIRE monster, 1 EARTH monster, and 1 WIND monster from your Deck to the Graveyard.

Entropy Altitude Knight

WIND ****

Warrior/Effect

If this monster is sent from the field to the Graveyard, you can add 1 Warrior-type monster with 1400 ATK and 1200 DEF from your Deck to your Hand.  If a card returns to the Hand or Deck, you can discard this card; send 1 FIRE monster, 1 WATER monster, and 1 EARTH monster from your Deck to the Graveyard.

Retrains of the ol' Attribute Knights.  Unlike their counterparts, they send all the other attributes to the grave instead of their attribute, though their conditions are similar to the originals' Deck > Grave conditions.  They also have floating effects to set things in motion or to grab any other Attribute Knight (or Celtic Guardian) for later plays.  They might appear really powerful with a send 3, but honestly, there really aren't a ton of grave interaction cards among FIRE, WATER, or WIND.  If you do note an extremely powerful interaction, lemme know.

 

Entropy Knight

EARTH ****

Warrior/Effect

This card is also always treated as FIRE, WATER and WIND Attribute. When this card is Summoned, target 1 level/rank 5 or lower monster in either player's Graveyard; this card's original ATK and DEF become the same as the targeted monster's.

A rename of an older card of mine originally named "Rainbow Knight".  Not much to say, but it can be sent by any of the OG/Retrained Attribute Knights as well as partially fill the conditions of further Entropy cards.

 

Frost and Flame Gardna

WATER ****

Warrior/Effect

This card is also always treated as FIRE Attribute.  If an attack position monster you control is targeted by an opponent's card effect, you can banish this card from your Graveyard and target your monster; it is unaffected by your opponent's cards until the End Phase.

Desert Gardna

WIND ****

Warrior/Effect

This card is also always treated as EARTH Attribute.  During your opponent's Damage Step, you can banish this card from your Graveyard and target a monster you control; it gains 1200 ATK and DEF until the End Phase.

2 Gardna monsters with names taken from Frost & Flame Dragon and Desert Twister.  Their DEF values also match the ATK values of the aforementioned monsters for the sake of flavor.  Like Entropy Knight, these can be sent via any of the retrained Attribute Knights.

 

Entropic Sorcerer

WATER ******

Spellcaster/Effect

This card cannot be Normal Summoned/Set.  Must first be Special Summoned (from your Hand) by banishing at least 2 or more monsters with different Attributes (except LIGHT and DARK monsters) from your Graveyard.  This card gains the following effects based on the number of monsters banished to Summon this card:

-2 or more: Once per turn, you can target 1 face-up monster on the field; banish that target.  This card cannot attack the turn you activate this effect.

-3 or more: This card gains 200 ATK and DEF for each monster banished to Summon this card.

-4 or more: Once per turn, you can send 1 EARTH, FIRE, WATER, or WIND monster from your Deck to the Graveyard and, if you do, you can return 1 banished EARTH, FIRE, WATER, or WIND monster to the Graveyard.

Spoiler alert, I'm not retraining the Envoys.  That said, I tried to make this a retrain of Chaos Sorcerer but with power closer to that of Envoy of the Beginning.  WATER Attribute because... why not.  Also because WATER is my favorite Attribute.

Entropic Force

Spell

Banish 1 EARTH, 1 FIRE, 1 WATER, and 1 WIND monster from your Graveyard; draw 3 cards.

 

Because conditional but super draw power.  Yes, I basically got this from The Beginning of the End.  Also because Dragonroar kinda sucks (Rulers excluded).

 

Rainbow Summon

Continuous Spell

You can Normal Summon 1 monster with a different Attribute than the monsters you control in addition to your Normal Summon/Set.  You can only gain this effect once per turn.

 

Like "Entropy Knight", this was another older card of mine.  Decided to keep its name since this feels much more generic (and because it can be used by Chaos as well).

 

 

 

 

I dunno how many cards I'm gonna make for Entropy, but this feels like just the tip of the iceberg for now.  If anyone has suggestions or anything, feel free to share.  I'm all ears!
