Spirit Pendulum Monster? (Written)

What if we had a Spirit Pendulum Monster? Would its effect be like this?

Dragon/Pendulum/Spirit(?)

 

Pendulum Effect:

 

Once per turn, when an opponent's monster declares an attack: You can destroy this card; Special Summon 1 Spirit Monster from your Deck.

 

Monster Effect:

 

When this card is Summoned(?), this card returns to its owner's hand at the end of this turn. Once per turn: You can add 1 Spirit Monster from your Deck to your hand.

Well, Spirit monsters typically have the no SSing clause on them (bar for Izanagi or something), but as this sample card is, it would help to alleviate some of their problems (namely with them being able to summon the high Levels consistently). First effect seems about right though for Spirits; second one will obviously vary,

 

I don't really know how this would work if they indeed become realistic, but it still works. Question is if they'll get their own set of Scales that can summon them (going to assume this would've been a Scale 4 like the other OEPD incarnates).

I forgot to give it Scales. The real purpose of its Pendulum Effect is to Summon another copy of itself in opponent's turn, then returns to your hand during the End Phase. Honestly, I didn't really think that it could support high level Spirit Monsters xD. But I guess just this card alone won't really make Spirit decks competitive.

Well, if this card could supersede the Special Summoning lock, you could summon stuff like Yamata Dragon or whatever with its P-effect. Though, you do have access to summoning another copy of this if you really wanted to, which also helps. 

 

(In essence though, you only have a copy of this card and Izanagi as valid targets at the moment)
