VCR_CAT
Alright, let's get this show on the road. Blue Gadget is bonkers. I mean seriously, WOW this card has way too much going for it. A level 4 tuner with no restrictions that is able to summon additional fodder from the hand or deck for a play that becomes an effective +2 with a WIDE range of Extra Deck monsters to choose from, ranging from level 8 synchros to Rank 4 in general. Not only that, but the grave effect becomes an additional +1 recycle effect WITH an extra Normal Summon. No, no no no. This card is RIDICULOUS and basically carries the entire deck on its back by doing basically everything the deck needs. Not only is this bad because it makes the card way too powerful, it turns the deck into something that's probably going to lose if they can't get it out or proc it successfully. This card needs to be reigned in, it needs a proper niche instead of doing everything the deck wants it to. Not to mention how you didn't even clarify Normal or Special Summon, making this card kind of stupid with White Gadget. No, absolutely no. White Gadget, on the other hand, is a lot less broken. While really solid with, again, a +2 effect (or a +3 with Blue; I mean seriously); its impact is a lot more reigned in and not only due to the Dragon Ruler OPT Clause but with how the protection is only live in the hand forces you to choose either the summon play or the protection play; you don't get both. This is really good because it promotes strategy and flexibility to the deck; it offers a dilemma between two different plays with one not necessarily being better than the other. I always appreciate when cards promote strategic and thoughtful play like this. My only concern is that, again, it's a tuner that brings a +2 play to the table. I would recommend bringing some more restrictions or downsides to the summon effect to reign in that impact. The synchro I really am not a fan of; not only because the removal is so ridiculously strong, but because it's a synchro at all. This card does not go in line with the rest of the Gadget cards and their theme of being components for a larger monster; like Gadjiltron or Stronghold the Moving Fortress. If anything, it feels like a card shoehorned into the deck as randomly a synchro instead of a thoughtful inclusion to the theme to promote cards that would see better use if they were more easily summoned or used. While the two Gadgets need some serious balancing, they at least promote the theme and engine in getting stuff working; but having a random synchro with an effect that isn't going in-theme with the deck but is also diverting attention away from the old cards to the new ones just leaves a sour taste in my mouth. If you're going to support old Konami themes, you need to not only make sure that your cards go in line with that deck's theme and flavor properly, but it needs to keep the value between the rest of the cards equal and respectable. If all you do is make a couple busted engine cards, you devalue the old cards even more and basically are just making the deck comprised of your own stuff alone.
