Card's Name: Eternal Winter


Card Type: Continuous Spell Card


Lore:


While this card is face-up on the field, monsters cannot change their battle positions, all Set Spell or Trap Cards cannot be activated, monsters cannot be Special Summoned from the Graveyard. Destroy this card during your 2nd Standby Phase after activation.

 

Inspiration: I got the inspiration by seeing the Winter blizzard, which freezes everything in it's path, including cards, trees, and lakes, which result in immobilization. This became the first inspiration for the "Battle Position Change" Negation. The snow and hail bury things beneath it, including Spell and Trap cards.... and also freezes the cemetery with frostbite, coffin lids will be encased in ice, meaning the creature inside cannot escape....This became the third inspiration

 


A heavy negation card which hinder Card Effects and Position changes, and also prevents Resurrection, advised against Zombie decks.

I don't think I need to explain how powerful and oppressive its effects are. Its maintenance cost is nothing, and regardless, is pointless if it's paid during your next turn because of the Cold Wave effect alone, so it doesn't offset the effects at all.

A Cold Wave that can be cancelled using a removal effect. As it is now, once your opponent gets their turn they will do everything in their power to destroy this card ASAP, so the card would instead be played like a traditional Cold Wave to seal a game-ending push.

 

S/T floodgates are weird like this.
