the world of malla.  a peaceful place that you've likely spent your entire life getting to know, considering you were born there.

you are the first generation of children of the great five heroes, the very ones whom led the armies of malla against the angels twenty-two years ago and saved the world.

with no real threat against the state of the world, everything is relatively peaceful, especially with your parents having this sort of 'absolute power' thing going for them.  they're essentially the gods of this world, and you are no different.

but now?  there's a bit of a power struggle.  the great five heroes - now four, considering one has since passed away - are now spread apart amongst three remaining kingdoms.

the kingdom of bahha, a wintry place populated mostly by elves.  the great heroes kelrande and ataya - ancient elven life mates whom contributed a lot of the strategic planning throughout the great war - lead the people here by way of religious heirarchy.

the kingdom of ceiln, the southernmost desert province, and perhaps the most war torn of them all.  primarily composed of humans.  their leader, grand empress jaia, served as the powerhouse and unifying force behind the effort to defeat the angels.  individually, she is the most powerful amongst the remaining great heroes, but holds the greatest disdain amongst them for her so-called betrayal that led to her close comrade's death.

and, finally, izalh, the forest of the west.  compared to the kingdoms of ceiln and bahha, the 'kingdom' (if it can even be called that) of izalh is wholly peaceful, made up of various races of forest monsters, all rallied under the banner of king izalh - a dryder.  a strong sense of self is prized in this land.

izalh is, for the most part, neutral to the kindoms of both ceiln and bahha.  ceil and bahha, however, find themselves butting heads often over everything and anything.

finally, there's the lost north - once a kingdom led by anken, jaia's close friend (also human), it has since been destroyed by a squadron of surviving rogue angels, who essentially suicide bombed the entire area, leaving the land desolate and blackened.  perhaps by way of fortune, the children of anken and his wife were sent to live with jaia.

in a world where diplomacy is often forgotten, thanks to everything banking off the moods of these four rulers who are now growing rather old, all heads are turned to the children to carry on the torches and repair relations... and they're doing it by making you go to school together.

so yeah this is just an interest check

so concerning some history around each player's character i should likely elaborate each family they're from

izalh's children have no last name, and often have different mothers as king izalh's kind of a swinger.  there's a whole 'open family' gig going on, so numerous beast-type species make up his kids, usually inheriting the more 'human' part of izalh's dryderness (thus allowing for, uh, more variation when it comes to humanoid monsters.)  there'd be a really strong sense of family and bond between those from izalh's line, as he's a REALLY big family type guy and is pretty much a teddy bear.  being proud of your individualness is strong here, too - you're fully aware that you're special, and that being special is better for the whole.  kid of izalh are usually freakishly strong, even if they don't look it, and are generally amazing at combat.

obviously, the children of the two heroes from bahha are all elves.  white hair, usually, light blue skin and a sense of superiority and ownership.  the parents are proud, just like izalh, but they don't have the super-niceness that he does.  they're also probably a little racist, given that the elves have a really, really deep history of general ownership over all the lands of malla.  they also used to use the humans as slaves, but that ended about two or three hundred years ago.  fun fact:  the children of the elven heroes have both foresight and hindsight, making them amazing seers.

the humans of ceiln are... well, they're humans, and there's not much to explain.  note:  all three nations are relatively new, as the original kingdoms of the three groups (well, two, given monsters never banded until izalh came about) were pretty much dissolved under the fist of the angels.  getting back on the topic of the children of jaia, they're usually INCREDIBLY skilled at whatever they do, which stems from jaia's amazing luck (people are starting to refer to her as the goddess of luck).  usually very attractive, too, though jaia's had a few different men father her children, so their looks can very.  usuuuually they'd carry her blonde hair, though.  humans usually hate elves.
