Star Driver Macross

Rank 4 LIGHT

Scale: 2

Pendulum: Increase the ATK of all Level 4 or lower monsters you control equal to their Level times 400. During the Battle-Phase, all Level 4 or lower monsters you control are unaffected by your opponents card effects.

Warrior/Xyz/Pendulum/Effect

2 Level 4 Pendulum monsters

This card can attack twice during each of your Battle-Phases. If this card attacks a defence position monster, you can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; inflict piercing battle damage to your opponent. When this card leaves the field from your Monster Card Zone: you can place this card in one of your unoccupied Pendulum Zones.

So it makes Levels 4 and lower gain 1600 atk? And unaffected by card effects during the battle phase? I guess that's fair, since it's an Xyz Pendulum.

 

But then

 

It's a Rank 4 2500 double attack that makes Blade Armor Ninja and Gagaga Samurai obsolete. The piercing doesn't even matter.

 

Does Rank 4 really need another double attacker? Gagaga Samurai wasn't ran because it had really low atk, and Blade Armor Ninja is restricted to Warriors. It's pretty much a staple in R4 decks because it can do 5000 damage on it's own. Plus the Pendulum Effect means if your opponent gets rid of it, they have to face 3000+ beaters, because you're only going your going to summon this in R4.dek.

 

Honestly, its' too good.

Reduce the atk gain. 100 or 200 would be fine. 400 is too much. Find some way to make the double attacking weaker. It needs some sort of cost or restriction.

Basically changed it to 2 Level 4 Pendulum Monsters if that's enough to get away with this.
