Bellringer Angel
Check the introduction here: Original Post [spoiler=This archetype's strength and weakness]Strength1. Decking out doesn't exist here (based of Madolche).2. The monsters are super easy to bring out (except the boss).3. They can gain counters very fast.4. Can be used with Lightsworn.5. They can search each types of cards in their archetypes (based of Majespecter).6. They have targeting protection (based of Majespecter and Kozmo).7. etc Weakness1. "Skill Drain", "Soul Drain", and "Mind Drain" are very effective against this archetype.2. Due to the nature of counters, if you flip an "Acquatic" monster face-down, then it got flipped face-up, its counters are gone forever.3. They can barely utilize their Graveyard, since almost all "Acquatic" monsters are shuffled into the Deck when they got sent to the Graveyard.4. The user's hand advantage disappear really fast due to the fact that most of the monster's effect to Special Summon itself requires shuffling 1 "Acquatic" card from your hand into the Deck.5. etc Things I've changedMASS OCG Fixes/erratas on all cards.Spell/Trap Cards now cannot recycle themself.Added a new card.[Coming Soon][spoiler:Main Deck Monsters]1. You can only control 1 face-up "Porta, the Acquatic Gatekeeper".[ ATK 2100 / DEF 1500 ] [spoiler:Spell Cards]1. Acquatic Castle[ Spell / Field ]When an "Acquatic" card(s) is shuffled into your Deck, put 1 Acqua Counter on this card for each card shuffled. Once per turn: You can pay 600 LP and remove 2 Acqua Counters from this card; add 1 "Acquatic" card from your Deck to your hand. If the amount of Acqua Counters on this card are over 5, it gains this effect.1. Your opponent cannot Set Spell/Trap Cards nor activates any Set Spell/Trap Cards unless they pay LP equal to the amount of Acqua Counters on this card x 100.2. Once per turn: You can discard any number of "Acquatic" cards, then draw the same number of cards discarded. You can only activate 1 "Acquatic Castle" per turn. 2. shadowsapex
[spoiler:Main Deck Monsters]1. Servizio, the Acquatic ServantLevel 3 - WATER[ Aqua / Tuner / Effect ]You can Special Summon this card (from your hand) by shuffling 1 other "Acquatic" card from your hand into the Deck. You can only Special Summon "Servizio, the Acquatic Servant" once per turn this way. Cannot be targeted by your opponent's card effects. If this card is Summoned: You can put 1 Acqua Counter on an "Acquatic" card you control. This card gains 100 ATK and DEF for each Acqua Counter on it. If this card is in your Graveyard: You can remove 2 Acqua Counters from an "Acquatic" card you control; Special Summon this card. You can only use this effect of "Servizio, the Acquatic Servant" once per turn.[ ATK 1100 / DEF 1000 ]Solid tuner. Could be hard to build up two counters, especially early game, since all the monsters tend to remove their counters immediately for their effects. None of the spells add counters or start combos either, so it could be hard to get out of a bad hand. 2. Scudo, the Acquatic GuardianLevel 3 - WATER[ Aqua / Effect ]Cannot be targeted by your opponent's card effects. If this card is Summoned: You can place 1 Acqua Counter on this card, then change this card's Battle Position. This card gains 100 ATK and DEF for each Acqua Counter on it. You can remove 1 Acqua Counter from this card; this turn, you can Normal Summon 1 "Acquatic" monster from your hand or Deck in addition to your Normal Summon/Set. (You can only gain this effect once per turn.) If this card is sent to the Graveyard: Shuffle it into the Deck.[ ATK 0 / DEF 2100 ]Normal summoning from deck? That's new.So it's basically another splashable instant rank 3 engine. You normal summon this, ss Spada, and add another Scudo for next turn. Doesn't special summon itself, unlike Speedroids, but does semi-loop itself. Not much of a point in it changing its own battle position. None of these cards specifically summon in attack position, and you probably won't be CotH-ing these cards from the graveyard. 3. Spada, the Acquatic WarriorLevel 3 - WATER[ Aqua / Effect ]You can Special Summon this card (from your hand) by shuffling 1 other "Acquatic" card from your hand into the Deck. You can only Special Summon "Spada, the Acquatic Warrior" once per turn this way. Cannot be targeted by your opponent's card effects. If this card is Summoned: You can place 1 Acqua Counter on this card. This card gains 100 ATK and DEF for each Acqua Counter on it. You can remove 1 Acqua Counter from this card; add 1 "Acquatic" monster from your Deck to your hand. You can only use this effect of "Spada, the Acquatic Warrior" once per turn. If this card is sent to the Graveyard: Shuffle it into the Deck.[ ATK 1200 / DEF 900 ]Solid card, searcher, helps make the higher-level ones more live. The minus 1 to summon really isn't attractive, but the plus 1 on summon balances it out. 4. Magia, the Acquatic MageLevel 3 - WATER[ Aqua / Effect ]You can Special Summon this card (from your hand) by shuffling 1 other "Acquatic" card from your hand into the Deck. You can only Special Summon "Magia, the Acquatic Mage" once per turn this way. Cannot be targeted by your opponent's card effects. If this card is Summoned: You can place 1 Acqua Counter on this card. This card gains 100 ATK and DEF for each Acqua Counter on it. You can remove 1 Acqua Counter from this card; add 1 "Acquatic" Spell Card from your Deck to your hand. You can only use this effect of "Magia, the Acquatic Mage" once per turn. If this card is sent to the Graveyard: Shuffle this card into the Deck.[ ATK 1000 / DEF 1100 ]Problem is, a lot of the spell cards are offensive rather than making combos. You got a Yang Zing Path, which really doesn't seem necessary, and a rota which requires you to give 2 choices to your opponent. And the field spell, but you only need one of those. 5. Arciere, the Acquatic SniperLevel 3 - WATER[ Aqua / Effect ]You can Special Summon this card (from your hand) by shuffling 1 other "Acquatic" card from your hand into the Deck. You can only Special Summon "Arciere, the Acquatic Sniper" once per turn this way. Cannot be targeted by your opponent's card effects. If this card is Summoned: You can place 1 Acqua Counter on this card. This card gains 100 ATK and DEF for each Acqua Counter on it. You can remove 1 Acqua Counter from this card; add 1 "Acquatic" Trap Card from your Deck to your hand. You can only use this effect of "Arciere, the Acquatic Sniper" once per turn. If this card is sent to your Graveyard: Shuffle this card into your Deck.[ ATK 1500 / DEF 600 ]Clairvoyant Mirror and Pearl of Light are good, none of the other traps are very useful. Disaster is sorta good, depending on how many counters you can field mid-game. 6. Cameriera, the Acquatic Combat-MaidLevel 3 - WATER[ Aqua / Tuner / Effect ]You can Special Summon this card (from your hand) by shuffling 1 other "Acquatic" card from your hand into the Deck. You can only Special Summon "Cameriera, the Acquatic Combat-Maid" once per turn this way. Cannot be targeted by your opponent's card effects. If this card is Summoned: You can place 1 Acqua Counter on an "Acquatic" card you control. This card gains 100 ATK and DEF for each Acqua Counter on it. If this card is in your Graveyard: You can remove 2 Acqua Counters from an "Acquatic" card you control, then target 1 face-up card on the field; shuffle it into the Deck, and if you do, add this card to your hand. You can only use this effect of "Cameriera, the Acquatic Combat-Maid" once per turn.[ ATK 1000 / DEF 1100 ]The other tuner, which offers non-destroying removal from the graveyard and another Acqua in your hand for summon conditions. I think the one that summons is better, but this one's effect could be valuable in many situations. 7. Aiuto, the Acquatic GeneralLevel 6 - WATER[ Aqua / Effect ]You can Special Summon this card (from your hand) by shuffling 3 other face-up "Acquatic" cards from your hand or field into the Deck. You can only Special Summon "Aiuto, the Acquatic General" once per turn this way. Cannot be targeted by your opponent's card effects. If this card is Summoned: You can place 1 Acqua Counter each "Acquatic" card you control. This card gains 100 ATK and DEF for each Acqua Counter on it. You can remove 3 Acqua Counters from this card; Special Summon 1 "Acquatic" monster from your hand or Graveyard, except "Aiuto, the Acquatic General". You can only use this effect of "Aiuto, the Acquatic General" once per turn. You can only control 1 "Aiuto, the Acquatic General". If this card is sent to the Graveyard: Shuffle this card into the Deck. While you control this face-up card, all non-"Acquatic" WATER monsters you control and in your hand are treated as "Acquatic" monsters and gain this effect.● It gains 100 ATK and DEF for each Acqua Counter on it.[ ATK 2050 / DEF 1550 ]The entire summoning cost can be averted by grabbing it from the deck with Scudo, or just normal summoning it, which is only a minus 1. The difference between that and a minus 3 is way too much to justify summoning it by its own condition, or perhaps even at all. It has a low atk stat, and the counter cost for the special summon effect is a bit high. The last effect seems very pointless. Why would you want to place Acqua Counters on non-Acqua monsters? Especially since most of the monster effects can only activate by removing counters from themselves. The control only 1 also seems pointless, since all the effects have hard OPTs. 8. Piovra, the Acquatic BeastLevel 9 - WATER[ Aqua / Effect ]Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must first be Special Summoned (from your hand) by shuffling 4 face-up "Acquatic" cards you control into the Deck. You can only Special Summon "Piovra, the Acquatic Beast" once per turn this way. Cannot be targeted by your opponent's card effects. This card gains 100 ATK and DEF for each Acqua Counter on it. This card can attack while in face-up Defense Position. If it does, apply its DEF for damage calculation. If this card has 12 or more Acqua Counters on it, it is unaffected by your opponent's card effects. You can only control 1 "Piovra, the Acquatic Beast". If this card is sent to the Graveyard: Shuffle it into the Deck. If this card is Summoned: You can activate 1 of these effects, depending on the way it was Summoned.● Special Summoned: Special Summon 1 "Acquatic" monster from your Extra Deck, and if you do, change this card to face-down Defense Position.● Flip Summoned: Shuffle all cards your opponent controls into the Deck, and if you do, place 12 Acqua Counters on this card, then change this card's battle position. This card cannot attack during the turn you activate this effect.[ ATK 0 / DEF 3600 ]You can't have any text on a card after a bullet point, so I took out the last bullet point and just made it a regular sentence.Well, this is one hell of a boss. 4 tributes for an Amaterasu-esque effect and a 4800 unaffected beater. It's just way too impractical to use in any competitive deck, though. It does grab any Acqua monster from your extra deck, but there are no clear good targets. And it needs to be flip summoned for its effect, so it won't work if this card is flipped up by attack or effect. It'll take you 1 turn to summon and flip it down, another turn to wipe your opponent's field, and another turn for you to finally be able to attack with it. Just not worthwhile. [spoiler:Extra Deck Monsters]1. Barriera, the Acquatic VanguardLevel 6 - WATER[ Aqua / Synchro / Effect ]1 "Acquatic" Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner WATER monsterCannot be targeted by your opponent's card effects. When an "Acquatic" card(s) is shuffled into your Deck, put 1 Acqua Counter on this card for each one. This card gains 100 ATK and DEF for each Acqua Counter on it. This card can attack while in face-up Defense Position. If it does, apply its DEF for damage calculation. Your opponent must attack this card first during each of their Battle Phases, if able. If an "Acquatic" card(s) would be destroyed by battle or card effect: You can pay 600 LP and remove 2 Acqua Counters from this card instead.[ ATK 1200 / DEF 2400 ]Really meh. It's a good way to throw counters on the field, but too many of these cards require you to remove counters from themselves. There's no good way to utilize the counters this generates, so it's just a relatively large beater which prevents destruction for you. The rest of the level 6 synchros solve problems much better, so you'd only summon this if you already had a solid setup. The attack first effect is weird, and can create a battle lock with the other one. 2. Battaglia, the Acquatic WarlordLevel 6 - WATER[ Aqua / Synchro / Effect ]1 "Acquatic" Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner WATER monsterCannot be targeted by your opponent's card effects. When an "Acquatic" card(s) is shuffled into your Deck, put 1 Acqua Counter on this card for each one. This card gains 100 ATK and DEF for each Acqua Counter on it. Your opponent must attack this card first during each of their Battle Phases, if able. If an "Acquatic" monster you control battles a monster: You can remove 3 Acqua Counters from this card; that monster you control has its ATK doubled until the end of the Damage Step. You can only use this effect of "Battaglia, the Acquatic Warlord" once per turn.[ ATK 2400 / DEF 1200 ]This one's better. Gets rid of problems, in a similar way to Utopia the Lightning, and also defends you. However, it doesn't work with any of the monsters who attack with their def. Building up counters will also be hard. 3. Orgoglio, the Acquatic KnightRank 3 - WATER[ Aqua / Xyz / Effect ]3 Level 3 WATER monstersCannot be targeted by your opponent's card effects. When an "Acquatic" card(s) is shuffled into your Deck, put 1 Acqua Counter on this card for each one. This card gains 100 ATK and DEF for each Acqua Counter on it. If this card has an "Acquatic" monster as Xyz Material, it gains these effects. You can only control 1 "Orgoglio, the Acquatic Knight". During your End Phase: Detach 1 Xyz Material from this card.● Once per turn: You can remove 3 Acqua Counters from this card; shuffle 1 card on the field into the Deck. If this card destroys an opponent's monster by battle, draw 1 card. If this card battles, it is changed to Defense Position at the end of the Battle Phase.[ ATK 1800 / DEF 1800 ]Non-targeting removal. Go figure. And why do you like control only 1 effects so much? It's really unlikel you'll be able to field 2.The low starting atk doesn't help it with triggering its battle effects. Especially since you're going to burn most of the counters you manage to get on this card with its removal effect. 4. Monarca, the Acquatic EmperorRank 6 - WATER[ Aqua / Xyz / Effect ]2 Level 6 "Acquatic" monstersCannot be targeted by your opponent's card effects. When an "Acquatic" card(s) is shuffled into your Deck, put 1 Acqua Counter on this card for each one. This card gains 100 ATK and DEF for each Acqua Counter on it. If this card has 12 or more Acqua Counters on it, it gains these effects. You can only control 1 "Monarca, the Acquatic Emperor".● Unaffected by your opponent's card effects. Once per turn, during either player's turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; shuffle all cards your opponent controls into the Deck. This card cannot attack during the turn you activate this effect. [ ATK 2700 / DEF 900 ]Don't see the point of this card. Another boss? It's more practical than the last one, and the field wipe is really devastating as a quick effect. How are you going to put 12 counters on it, though? It'd take forever, and you'd probably have to resolve at least 1 Pearl of Light. 5. Porta, the Acquatic GatekeeperRank 3 - WATER[ Aqua / Xyz / Effect ]2 Level 3 "Acquatic" monstersCannot be targeted by your opponent's card effects. When an "Acquatic" card(s) is shuffled into your Deck, put 1 Acqua Counter on this card for one. This card gains 100 ATK and DEF for each Acqua Counter on it. While you control this face-up card, "Acquatic Castle" and "Acquatic Clairvoyant Mirror" you control cannot be targeted by your opponent's card effects. Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; look at your opponent's hand, then send cards from the top of your Deck to the Graveyard equal to the number of non-WATER monsters in their hand. You can only control 1 "Porta, the Acquatic Gatekeeper".[ ATK 2100 / DEF 1500 ]Really roundabout way to mill here, and can't mill much late game when your opponent has already used up his hand. And since this card can't utilize its own counters, you'd need another one of the Acquatic extra deck monsters, or the spell or trap, to gain any benefit from the effect. Dante would probably be better anyway; it mills consistently and as cost, can be summoned generically if you're using a Speedroid engine or something, and can turn into Beatrice if you're running BAs. [spoiler:Spell Cards]1. Acquatic Castle[ Spell / Field ]When an "Acquatic" card(s) is shuffled into your Deck, put 1 Acqua Counter on this card for each one. Once per turn: You can pay 600 LP and remove 2 Acqua Counters from this card; add 1 "Acquatic" card from your Deck to your hand. If this card has 6 or more Acqua Counters on it, it gains these effects. You can only activate 1 "Acquatic Castle" per turn.● Your opponent cannot Set Spell/Trap Cards nor activate Set Spell/Trap Cards unless they pay LP equal to the number of Acqua Counters on this card x100. Once per turn: You can discard any number of "Acquatic" cards, then draw the same number of cards discarded. The searching effect is great (it would be better if it could take counters from any card on the field), but won't do anything without other cards. The burn is negligible. And the reload effect comes too late. You need reload effects early game, not so much after you've already built up counters on this card. 2. Acquatic Wave[ Spell / Quick-Play ]Shuffle 1 "Acquatic" monster you control into the Deck, then shuffle 1 card on the field into the Deck. If you control 4 or more "Acquatic" cards, you do not have to shuffle your monster into the Deck to activate this effect. You can only activate 1 "Acquatic Wave" per turn.Non-targeting removal. Probably unnecessary. Depending on how fast you can churn out rank 3s, you'd have Orgoglio or Utopic Future to deal with Dark Destroyer.3. Acquatic Abyssal Trident[ Spell / Equip ]Equip only to an "Acquatic" monster. It gains 100 ATK and DEF for each Acqua Counter on it and cannot be destroyed by battle. If the equipped monster attacks a Defense Position monster, inflict piercing battle damage to your opponent. When a monster effect that was activated on your opponent's side of the field resolves, negate that effect, then destroy this card. You can only activate 1 "Acquatic Abyssal Trident" per turn.Abyss-Scale of the Kraken, basically. Not very useful, you'd only run it for searchable effect negation. Oh, you know what'd make more sense? If it shuffled itself instead of destroying itself. 4. Acquatic Delta Force[ Spell / Normal ]Reveal 4 "Acquatic" cards from your Deck, your opponent chooses 1 for you to add to your hand, and you send the rest to the Graveyard. You can only activate 1 "Acquatic Delta Force" per turn.Having to select at least 2 different cards makes it an unreliable searcher. If you chose 4 monsters, though, you would build up a lot of counters when they all shuffle themselves. Really makes the entire deck run. 5. Acquatic Megastorm[ Spell / Normal ]If you control an "Acquatic" monster that was Special Summoned from the Extra Deck: Pay 600 LP; shuffle up to 2 Spell/Trap Cards your opponent controls into the Deck. You can only activate 1 "Acquatic Megastorm" per turn.Eh...It's not quick-play, and it's more limited than Twin Twisters, but it doesn't target and takes out annoying stuff like Kozmotown. 6. Acquatic Soulfire[ Spell / Effect ]Target 3 "Acquatic" cards in your Graveyard; shuffle them into the Deck, then draw 1 card. You can only activate 1 "Acquatic Soulfire" per turn. Not going to be live until late-game, since the only things going to your graveyard will be your spells, traps, and extra deck cards. So it's not as good in this deck as it is in most decks. [spoiler:Trap Cards]1. Acquatic Clairvoyant Mirror[ Trap / Continuous ]When an "Acquatic" card(s) is shuffled into your Deck, put 1 Acqua Counter on this card for each one. Once per turn: You can pay 600 LP and remove 2 Acqua Counters from this card; excavate cards from the top of your Deck until you excavate an "Acquatic" monster that can be Normal Summoned, then Special Summon the excavated monster, also send the remaining cards to the Graveyard. If this card has 6 or more Acqua Counters on it, it gains these effects. You can only activate 1 "Acquatic Clairvoyant Mirror" per turn.● Your opponent must reveal their hand. Once per turn: You can pay LP equal to the number of Acqua Counters on this card x100; excavate cards from the top of your Deck, up to half the number of Acqua Counters on this card (rounded up), then add 2 of them to your hand, also, after that, shuffle the rest into the Deck.Revealing the opponent's hand seems to be just for flavor. The reasoning effect is powerful, and multiple copies of this card will stack. It's a bit strange considering all the hard opts on the rest of the deck, but I think this card is fine without hard opts. 2. Acquatic Pearl of Darkness[ Trap / Normal ]Remove all Acqua Counters on the field; inflict damage to your opponent equals to the amount of Acqua Counters removed x300, and if you do, gain LP equal to the damage inflicted. You can only activate 1 "Acquatic Pearl of Darkness" per turn.Nope. This deck just isn't consistent enough to run cards like this. Burning Abyss can get away with running Barbar to seal wins, but not this deck. 3. Acquatic Disaster Force[ Trap / Counter ]When a card or effect is activated: Remove 3 Acqua Counters from your side of the field; negate that activation, and if you do, destroy it. You can only activate 1 "Acquatic Disaster Force" per turn. It's a good card, negates everything. Doesn't help the deck run, though, so you wouldn't run too many. 4. Acquatic Pearl of Light[ Trap / Normal ]Place any amount of Acqua Counters (max. 6) on an "Acquatic" card you control, and if you do, you lose 600 LP for each Acqua Counter placed on that card by this effect. You can only activate 1 "Acquatic Pearl of Light" per turn. Now that really helps throw on counters. The cost gets high, and being a trap makes it slow, though. 5. Acquatic Barrier[ Trap / Counter ]When a card is activated in response to the activation of an "Acquatic" card or effect OR When an "Acquatic" monster's Summon would be negated by a card effect: Remove 3 Acqua Counters from anywhere on your side of the field; negate that activation or effect, and if you do, destroy it. You can only activate 1 "Acquatic Barrier" per turn. Now that's really not useful. It's so situational, it shouldn't even have a cost. This archetype is a lot bigger than it needs to be. All anyone will ever run are the level 3s and some of the spell/traps. It takes forever to build up enough counters to use most effects, and the special summon effects burn hand advantage fast. The atk gaining effect doesn't do a thing to the level 3s and barely helps the boss monsters. In the extra deck, only Porta furthers plays. The others act as beatsticks and build up counters, but so many of these cards can only use counters on themselves, so you don't have enough ways to put counters on the cards that need them. Without ways to throw counters on the level 3s, I don't think this deck will be quite as searchy as you want it to be. Nothing floats either, so you'd have a hard time recovering from field nukes and such. And it's unfortunate that you don't have anything that banishes your monsters, so you can abuse Leviair.I'm not sure how this archetype would be run. Just as a quick engine to throw out rank 3s and synchros, or slow and steady to build up counters? It's hard to gauge how fast or powerful this deck would be without testing. It's a solid and (maybe a bit overly) balanced deck. On the Yuuji-Dova cardmaking scale, I give you an 7/10.

But I just wanted to point out that Pearl of Darkness can remove Acqua counters from either side of the field. Changes:1. Pearl of Darkness and Pearl of Light now have some sort of synergy with each other.2. (WIP)
shadowsapex
But I just wanted to point out that Pearl of Darkness can remove Acqua counters from either side of the field....is that significant? Like, you can side it against this deck, but that's only if this deck takes over the entire meta and becomes tier 0.
