Thomas★Zero
Basically the idea of this is a spell that acts as a weapon for the player to use to partake in battle. * Arms Spell symbol is a fist. * Arms Spells have an ATK value like monsters so you can attack with them. * While this is a monster card in front of the zone that the Arms Spell Card is in you cannot attack with the Arms Spell Card (unless a effect says so). * Arms Spells remain on the field after activated (similar to a continuous spell.) * You can only have 1 face-up Arms Spell on the field (unless effect said otherwise.) * While you control no monsters regardless of being equipped with a Arms Spell your opponent can attack you directly. * If a Arms Spell has a DEF value your opponent can only attack you directly with monsters whose ATK are greater than that Arms Spells DEF. Example cards: Burning Fist Nova Arms Spell Card Increase this cards ATK by 500 for each monster you control. ATK/1500 Shadow Stealth Rifle Arms Spell Card This card can attack even if you control a monster in the same lane as this card. ATK/1800 Twin Dagger Swift Striker Arms Spell Card Pay 1500 LP to activate this card. This card can attack twice during each of your Battle-Phases. If this card attacks directly: damage dealt by this card is halved. ATK/2500 Moon Shield Arms Spell Card Once per turn: this card cannot be destroyed by your opponents card effects. Radiant F.U.R.Y.™
Interesting idea. Just wondering...does damage calculation work the same way? If i have an arms spell and it attacks a monster that has higher atk (or def if it's in defense position), do I take battle damage? I wonder because you say it works like a weapon that allows the player to join in battle. IMHO It might make more sense, flavor-wise, to replace ATK and DEF with DUR(durability). DUR could work as both an atk and a def stat. Take Shadow Stealth Rifle for example: Say it attacks a monster with 2000 ATK. Instead of you losing LP, your rifle can lose DUR. Rifle and the monster both stay out, but now, Rifle's DUR has been reduced by 200 (the amount of Battle Damage) and has a new DUR of 1600. Then when an arms spell's DUR is reduced to 0, it is destroyed. Just an idea. whatever you decide, I do like the concept. EDIT: I made this for you. Hope you like it!
