[Cherry Heart] Rescue Mission

"They wouldn't want anyone touching the stones and putting the seal back together, it would really affect their territory. However, I doubt weak Everwild denizens like them had the power to destroy a seal like this."

"Aye, something's up that's for sure." Tegur glanced at the Brownies. "I don't particularly care to put the seal back anyway, least till I get a damn good reason."

He glanced at Nicolas, with a frown. The man seemed ready to attack the creatures, despite that they're not causing any harm. And B mentioned something about getting them on the way back. He shook his head. Too much killing these days. Not that he was one to talk.

However he certainly would keep an eye on Nicolas, if he tried to leap into fray Tegur would grab the old fool.

And it seemed like a fight was going to be inevitable, he realized, as some sort of beast was fast approaching. "Everyone get behind me" He shouted, pulling his crossbow out. "Don't ye worry kiddies, ol' Tegur will keep whatever beastie is coming away." Tegur cursed internally, this wasn't good. An old man, a wounded boy, a nurse, a young woman who seemed not to have offensive magic, and a boy without any magic at all. If he had to he'd fight whatever this thing was himself, though he certainly didn't think he had that kind of strength, but he decided that he'd at the very least act as a shield for these squishy humans.

Tegur leveled his crossbow, eyes narrowed and staring off into the woods, waiting for an attack he prayed would never come.

Mena continued to stand there, hammer raised with an expression of faux intimidation on her face, trying to continue to at least appear threatening towards the small brown creatures. While she wasn't sure if they actually had any semblance of weariness towards her, they still seemed none too aggressive. As the group continued ready to go at them, B seemed assured that they weren't going to cause them any issue so long as they didn't mess with the sealing stone. As this conclusion, Mena seemed to relax a bit, putting her hammer to her side as they were about to start moving out again. However, that would have to wait as something started.

As it was apparent that something was coming towards them, the small creatures began running away and Mena herself started to get anxious about just what it was that was coming. The large minotaur man seemed to try and step in and be guard for the rest of the group towards the strange entity. Mena was incredibly inclined to take the offer, however she then thought about it more and realized that the bull man probably wasn't able to take on the big creatures of this forest, especially if they were anything like what B had so...passionately, talked about. So instead she tugged on his arm and said, "no no no. Less fighting would be good, so how about we run." She turned to everyone else. "Sound good?" She looked towards B and said, "you think you can lead the way while running?"
