Galaxy Light-Leech

LIGHT Lv.4

Machine / Effect

1000 / 300

If this card is in your hand, you can attach it to a face-up "Photon" or "Galaxy" Xyz monster you control as Xyz Material. You can only use the effect of "Galaxy Light-Leech" once per turn.

Right now, Galaxies are Rank 8 spam with some forays into 4s like Galaxion/Paladynamo (latter one) and maybe 5 (Soldier -> Nova -> Infinity). While this card is nice for giving them an extra mat to pull off stuff, they don't really have space for this card at present. From experience with the Deck, I've rarely had to make Paladynamo or any 4s; most of the time, Rank 8 into something like 62/107/Felgrand/Cipher Dragon and so on.

The concept is fine though, but other than that, doesn't offer too much that Galaxies/Photon actually want (and they're run as a hybrid); least from me playing it (despite some recent changes).

It helps if you have an idea of what a Deck normally does before designing Archetypal stuff (and see what they need).

Um...Hmm...

This just doesn't DO anything. Firstly, Galaxy Xyz are rarely hurting that badly for Xyz Material. They're usually Rank 8s with massive ATK and effects that help deal even more damage. If you went through all your Xyz Material, you've probably won by this point, and if you hadn't, this card isn't going to be that helpful.

And they're also usually "Galaxy-Eyes" monsters, meaning that Cloudragon already does this (once a Duel, and from the Graveyard), but Cloudragon actually does something else in addition to that effect, namely, SSing a Galaxy-Eyes from the hand or Grave.

This is okay as a Level 4 and from the hand, but...it doesn't do anything else. It's just...an empty card. It doesn't help you Summon anything, its stats are mediocre beyond belief, it doesn't even Special Summon itself to enable potential Rank 4s, it's not a Photon, so it doesn't help Galaxion, and it gets next to no benefits whatsoever from being a Galaxy other than being searchable by Wizard/Soldier.

Galaxy Decks are combo based and eat up the hand quickly. This card is just dead-weight that clogs up any potential combo plays, while offering absolutely nothing.
