mr. waifu
Well, milling needs to becomes popular again. The "Miller" Archetype is a group of cards that work on banishing your opponent's card's face-down. Usually, a mill would be sending to the Graveyard, but in today's meta, the Graveyard only helps. Banishing solves this problem. All of the monsters are based off of a type of cloud, and are all WIND Thunder Type monsters whose main strategy is to mill. [spoiler=Cards]Miller - CirrusWIND Lv. 31850 / 900Thunder / EffectWhen this card is Summoned, you can Special Summon 1 level 3 or lower monster from your hand, except "Miller - Cirrus", and if it is a "Miller" monster, banish the top card of your opponent's Deck, face-down. You can return 1 "Miller" monster you control to the hand: Target 1 monster your opponent controls; return it to the top of their Deck. You can only use each effect of "Miller - Cirrus" once per turn. Cannot be used as Synchro or Xyz Material. Flash Flyer - Sakura
Really not a fan of all of the Main Deck having the same exact effect; SS something, then mill the opponent's Deck face-down. At its best, start off with 5 of these in hand, proceed to summon multiple Rank 3s and banish a quarter of your opponent's Deck. That's in extreme cases, but either way, you are going to be milling multiple cards in one turn. Also remember that these cards can Special Summon copies of themselves; go look at 'tellarknights and notice that they exclude themselves from being Special Summoned by their own effects (despite the hard OPT on them). Or really, choose 1-2 to be the SS enablers and slap hard OPTs on their summon effects. Cirrus is non-targeting removal and lets you bounce stuff; in conjunction with Debris, it also nets you another banish if you happen to draw another Miller. Stratus can mess up the opponent's hand, either by adding via Debris or standard drawing. As a whole, it's fine. Cumulus lets you discard stuff, then draw 2 cards (with the additional mill thing). Again, the Deck set up in here makes it likely to occur; otherwise it's just a double draw for one turn. Kelvin and Pot of Cupidity would be buddies here, but outside of that, Deck has no way of face-down banishing their own stuff. You should be able to guess properly and hit the opponent's cards (well, if you're smart enough to figure out common playstyles). Arcus can...get rid of backrow. Suppose that's fine, although you're likely going to get Strike'd when you do. Scud sets up with Debris and Cumulus to activate their effects; that, and bouncing the opponent's stuff to banish. Debris was already mentioned, but essentially set up fodder for everything. Now for the Xyz...(I am only fixing the OCG on this one for the purposes of reviewing) 2 Level 3 Thunder-Type monstersYou can only control 1 "Miller - Backsheared".(1) Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; either add it to your hand or the top of your Deck, then banish the top card of your opponent's Deck, face-down.(2) Once per turn, if you banish 2 or more of your opponent's cards at once, face-down: You can target 1 of your opponent's banished face-down cards; attach it to this card as Xyz Material.(3) Once per turn: You can excavate the top card of your Deck; if it is a "Miller" monster, banish the top card of your opponent's Deck, face-down, then add it to your hand, otherwise, send it to the Graveyard. If the excavated card was banished face-down at least once this Duel, then you can add it to your hand instead. 1. There is no precedent for Xyz Materials being added to the hand, but there doesn't appear to be anything ruling against it; then again, it's set up fodder. 2. The Main Deck monsters pretty much fuel this card's Xyz absorption (however, I have not heard of an Xyz Material that is face-down on a monster). Given the Archetype's mentality, this card is effectively never running out of materials (or you get access to whatever you banished off the opponent). I am going to assume that it triggers if you hit 2 or more cards in a single instant; not during the course of the turn. 3. Cannot work as worded (in terms of you adding the sent Miller monster); while the card is face-down, you cannot confirm its identity and such do not know if it has indeed been banished face-down at any point during the Duel. (Assume that cards are unmarked and do not have identifying sleeves that would help otherwise) ----In all, this Archetype is essentially massive Rank 3 spam that burns out the opponent's Deck and makes them unable to really do much. Yes, Thunder monsters have little support, but this is really pushing things...A LOT. As already mentioned above, change the first effect on all of them, so they don't lead to legitimate Rank 3 flooding and heavy banishing. Cut down the amount of cards each monster can banish to 1 card. (I'd expect 2 cards to come out of the boss or really, any boss monster in general). The other effects range from generally fine to borderline. Rework the (3) effect for the Xyz, because it does not work the way you think it does. Right now, the Deck itself is pretty annoying to work against, especially with the mills. At least you figured out that standard Graveyard milling doesn't help anymore (given BAs and stuff exist), but these guys do way too much.
