Revenger - Phantom Blaster Dragon (Legion Summon Alpha Stage)

Basically, if any of you played CFV, you would understand how the Legion mechanic works. The Grade 3 shuffles 4 cards from the drop pile into the Deck, bringing out a Grade 2 after that joins it in the Vanguard Circle. I thought that it would be fun to try to incorporate this mechanic into YGO.

Also, because I'm trying to show that these two cards become 1 card by sharing the same Zone, I'm not sure if it would still be placed under Multiples.

Before any moderator contemplates about moving this into the Joke/Experimental thread: The whole mechanic is basically written as an effect instead. Like Artifacts, who have a unique mechanic of their own by being able to Set themselves in the S/T Zone, even though monsters aren't normally allowed to do that; this card basically does something similar by sharing a Zone with another card:

During your Main Phase: You can shuffle 4 monsters from your Graveyard into the Deck, and if you do, you can then place 1 "Revenger - Blaster Dark" directly from your Deck beside this card in the same Zone. You can only use this effect of "Revenger - Phantom Blaster Dragon" once per turn. Both cards are then treated as 1 "Revenger - Phantom Blaster Abyss" Effect Monster (Dragon-Type/DARK/Level 8/ATK 3000/DEF 3000). You can only control 1 "Revenger - Phantom Blaster Abyss". It gains the following effects:

You can Tribute 3 monsters from your hand or field; this card can make up to 3 attacks on monsters this turn, and when it does, any battle damage inflicted to your opponent is doubled.

The first time that this card declares an attack: You can excavate the top 2 cards of your Deck. Add any monsters excavated by this effect to your hand, then shuffle the rest back into the Deck.

So basically, it's very similar to Phantom Blaster Dragon, with the Twin Drive Engine included. However, I limited all of the options to Monsters only, or otherwise it'll be borderline broken.

Both cards would be placed in the same Zone, and is treated as one monster. The one monster does not count as 2 tributes. Controlling 1 Legioned Monster per archetype should restrict it from doing anything OP.

Here's the Legion Mate:

If this card is Flip or Special Summoned, or when it is placed in a Zone directly from the Deck: its Level becomes 1 and its original ATK becomes 500. When this card is Summoned, and if you control another "Revenger" monster: You can target 1 monster your opponent controls whose Level/Rank is 4 or lower; send it to the Graveyard. You can only use this effect of "Revenger - Blaster Dark" once per turn. During either player's turn: You can pay 800 LP; this card's Level becomes 4 and its original ATK becomes 1900, until the next Standby Phase.

I understand that both cards are somewhat weird right now, but it's just an idea that I've been trying to test. Blaster Dark turns into Level 1 with 500 ATK during Legion so that both monsters become 3000 ATK and 3000 DEF, with their Levels added on to become 8. (2500 + 500) and (2100 + 900), (7+1=8).

Gave Phantom Blaster Dragon the optional recycle for 4 cards so that he doesn't become 2500 vanilla after you get 1 Phantom Blaster Abyss out. It was originally mandatory, but I changed it in this case.

Blaster Dark's effects obviously needed the Limitations if you decide to keep spamming the first effect.

Grade 0: Levels 1-2
Grade 1: Levels 3-4
Grade 2: Levels 5-6 (Blaster Dark)
Grade 3: Levels 7-9 (Phantom Blaster Dragon)
Grade 4: Levels 10-12. (Whatever Stride bullshit after)

Again, this is just an idea that is still in it's Alpha Stage. I kind of got bored seeing the same old searching, SS from Graveyard, etc mechanics from the usual archetypes.

Any thoughts to help me improve on this idea? =)

This is an interesting Idea. I play Vanguard so this is a great use of their card images. Keep going and let's see what you can do with this

I know you're new, but just a little heads-up for you: If a thread has no replies for 2 or more weeks, then you should not post in it; otherwise it'll be considered as necrobumping (or reviving a dead thread).

Please refer to the section rules for more detailed explanations on this, and other Custom Card policies.
