Alastar Rainford
Burning Salamander LV4 (FIRE)Level 4Pyro/EffectWhen your opponent declares a direct attack, you can special summon this card from your hand and redirect the attack to this card. During either player's turn, if this card would be destroyed by battle you can destroy 1 Spell or Trap card on your side of the field or in your hand instead, and if you do inflict 500 Damage to both players. At the end of the Battle Phase that this card battled: You can send this face-up card to the Graveyard; Special Summon 1 "Burning Salamander LV6" from your hand or Deck.1800/ATK 200/DEF Burning Salamander LV6 (FIRE)level 6Pyro/EffectIf this card was special summoned by the effect of "Burning Salamander LV4" it gains the following effect: If this card battles an opponent's monster, inflict damage to both players equal to this card's original ATK at the end of the damage step. Once per turn during either player's turn, you can banish 1 Spell or Trap card from your graveyard and half this card's ATK, if you do this card cannot be destroyed by battle till the next end phase. Once per turn when you receive damage, you can excavate 1 card from your deck:if it was a "LV" monster add it to your hand and gain lifepoints equal to its ATK or DEF.At the end of the Battle Phase that this card battled: You can send this face-up card to the Graveyard; Special Summon 1"Burning Salamander LV8" from your hand or Deck.2400/ATK 200/DEF Burning SalamanderLV8 (FIRE)level 8Pyro/EffectCannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must be Special Summoned by "Burning Salamander LV6", and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. Once per turn, you can target 1 monster on the field and destroy it, if you do inflict damage to your opponent equal to half of its ATK or DEF and increase your lifepoints by the same amount. If this card would be targeted, destroyed, or leave the field by a card effect you can banish 1 Spell or Trap card from your Graveyard to negate that effect then banish that card.3000/ATK 200/DEF

TekFish
"If this card is effected by a card effect" This is kind of hard to put into Yu-gi-oh language...Normally it would be, "If this card is targeted" or "If this card would be destroyed". I'm not sure if what you wrote could ever work. If I were you I'd change it to "If this card is targeted."
Alastar Rainford
No I am wanting effected. Target would limit it. For instance, it will not stop Raigeki,Mirror Forces, RDA, ect.
Flash Flyer - Sakura
You can just say "If this card would be targeted or destroyed by a card effect", although that gets around non-targeting bounce removal. Suppose you can also add ", or would leave the field by a card effect". It's probably clunky PSCT, but that should cover everything. "If this card is effected by a card effect" This is kind of hard to put into Yu-gi-oh language...Normally it would be, "If this card is targeted" or "If this card would be destroyed". I'm not sure if what you wrote could ever work. If I were you I'd change it to "If this card is targeted." Just as a notice that you have to write something related to how the card works in terms of playability and design. ----Anyway, I'll provide some CnC so I don't only come in here to make suggested OCG fixes and enforce the AC. In terms of LV4, where are you summoning him from? I'm guessing the hand, but you should mention this. I suppose its protection effect is nice if you have dead S/Ts you want to burn out (i.e. dead Fiendishes) or Traps you want in the Graveyard. Personally, I'd change it to an OPT thing (but I don't recall many FIRE decks that have disposable S/Ts for this card). Least this card can level up faster. 6 is heavy burn if it battles a monster, and 2400 is certainly a lot to contend with. While its battle protection effect is nice, you are aware of the multiple effect removal outlets, right? I suppose halving its ATK saves it and lets it level up, but still. I guess it also lets you restore LP a bit if you get hit and can get an LV monster out. I'd tone it down to half its original ATK when it battles (1200 is still a lot, but it's a lot more manageable to deal with than the full 2400, even if you need to level up from 4). 8 is pretty much a freer version of 61; pop something, opponent gets burned and you can restore LP. I guess it'll help to offset any damage you might have taken from 6's auto burn effect. The protection effect is good though; as I mentioned above, you can try to use the above fix and that'll cover everything in more correct OCG. (You kind of need to fix the wording a bit, but I can generally understand it) Oh right, and they're also Rekindling targets for whatever that's worth (least 4 and 6 anyway). Alastar Rainford
I do know 6 was a little high on burn, but I was thinking of the Red Eyes Gemini at the time that burns for the same amount. Will be fixing that grammar though so thank you.
