If you control exactly 1 monster: Tribute that monster; Special Summon 1 Synchro or Xyz Monster from your Extra Deck with the same Level/Rank as the Tributed monster, also for the rest of this turn you cannot Special Summon from the Extra Deck. You can only activate 1 "Metamorphosis II" per turn.

 

 

Tips: The monster you want to offer as a tribute must obviously be face-up.

It won't work, while the restriction helps, it's too generic like the original Metamorphosis. While you can't Special Summon things like Quasar, you can get ridiculous things like Ultimate Falcon out pretty easily, and it's even better than Quasar imho. With Level 8's, which aren't as great as swarming, you could easily make the 4K Galaxy Eyes monsters. Duels would come down to whoever gets Metamorphosis II first, there's basically no reason not to use it.

summoning a Level 10 monster in your 1st turn to tribute it to bring out Falcon i think it's not pretty easily.

I'd have to agree with leafbladie in this case. Card is too much like OG Metamorphosis, and has a much wider range of monsters that it can SS. In terms of Level 8 stuff, closest things we have that are actually doable are either Blue-Eyes or Galaxies (former already can spam 8s relatively quicky; latter isn't as much). In their case, you can bring out Crystal Wing or something. I guess for Galaxies, get Knight onto the field, then play this and go into any Synchro or their Xyz (Full Armor, Cipher, 62 [if you don't mind halved damage], 107, Neo GEPD, etc) without setup.

 

Rank 10 spam does have access to Night Express and subsequent Ultimate Falcon (that is, if Trains even want to tech this card for it; they're already fine with their own Rank 10 stuff).

 

Yeah, you have restrictions on this card like the "only 1 monster rule" and no ED summoning, so no Xyz changing into something else, but not a fan of its design.
