During your Main Phase: You can Special Summon 1 Level 7 or lower Normal Fusion Monster from your Extra Deck, or Graveyard. You can only activate this effect of "Mixxchur, Overlord of the Swamp" once per turn. If a Fusion Monster(s) would be destroyed by battle or card effect, you can discard 1 "Polymerization" instead.

First effect is useful; a deviation from King of the Swamp's effect. The second effect may seem pretty mighty, but with these Fusion materials, you'd really only see this card in dedicated Deck. And that protection effect is rather cute.

 

It's a cool way to get utility with Beastking of the Swamp and an alternative use for King of the Swamp.

Did you select to discard instead of banish from the Graveyard because there's a chance you'd have Fusion Summoned it w/o Poly (so there wouldn't be something to banish)?

You can keep it as it is (it's neat as it is anyway), but you could make it banish 1 Poly from the Graveyard, so you can use the Poly in your hand next turn.
