Mire of Swarming

Field Spell

If an Insect-Type monster is Summoned, Except by the this card effect: you can target 1 Spell/Trap card in your Graveyard; Special Summon that Target as Normal monster (Insect-Type/ATK 0/DEF 0) With the same Attribute and Level as that monster, but banish it when it leaves the field. if you Summon "Mire of Swarming" as a monster this way, it also treated as Tuner monster.

This would have some cute interactions with Traptrix, Naturia, Inzektors, Digital Bugs; that's kinda the only decks that actually utilize Insect monsters. But I see this more as an xyz tool than a Synchro tool, there wouldn't be much of a way to make use of the tuner ability until mid game, by then it maybe to late for these decks to do anything.

The Level Eater swarming is real.

It can make a strong Rank 1 swarm deck.

At least as long as you can draw into it.

I suggest 2 things:

-Make it a Field Spell.

-Have the Spell/Trap Cards affected this way banished when they leave the field.

That way it ensures a deck will be able to rely on it to be built around, and that it'll easily get the fodder early on through Terraforming or even sending 1 Field Spell for another copy.

Not to mention now you'd be unable to have more than a single copy active at a time, so you wouldn't need to have the "only 1 in the s/t zones out at a time" clause.

Xyz plays would be able to bypass the banishing ammo issue, while you'd still be able to make Formula Synchrons and make it a draw engine with even something like a Beast King Barbaros Normal Summon or a good old fashioned regular Synchro Summon from any decently high leveled monster.

You could actually also make the Centipede decks with Resonance insect become easier toolbox decks for power plays.

What do you think?

nice suggestion actually, in particular the Field Spell changes.

while the banish effect prevent this card to go wild to much.
