Banagher Links Posted August 30, 2016 Report Share Posted August 30, 2016 I like the theme, the idea of contact fusion pendulums is fairly cool (I was actually going to suggest making the materials only grant effects if fused while face-up on the field before I saw that the fusions were contact), and I love the secondary Ritual Beast effect. The lack of the limitations from the Ritual Beasts, however, allow you to spam the fusions infinitely, as you can fusion summon, return, then refuse without any restrictions, gaining both the fusion's personal effects and the effect of their materials. With Marvel's ability to Special Summon a M☆gic Sign and Courage being able to return 2 of the opponent's cards to the Deck when used as Fusion material essentially guarantees a FTK if you go second, or an OTK if you go first. My suggestion would be limiting the fusions so they can only be summoned once per turn each, but assuming you'd rather allow them to be summoned en mass with proper set up, you should limit the granted effects to once per turn. Example: Each effect of "M☆gic Sign - Courage" can only be activated once per turn. When this card is summoned: You can add 1 “M☆gic Sign” monster from your Deck to your hand. A “M☆gic Sign” monster that was Fusion Summoned using this card as a Fusion Material Monster gains the following effect. • If it is Fusion Summoned: You can activate this effect; Return up to 2 cards your opponent controls to the Deck. By removing the Normal Summon clause, you allow yourself to plus off of pendulum summons, meaning you can keep up with other pendulum decks that are in the meta. Then, by limiting each effect to once per turn, you remove the chance to spam. To help fully balance the deck and remove spam, the fusions' ability to de-fuse should also be limited to once per turn. Example: Must first be Fusion Summoned by Tributing the above Fusion Materials you control (you do not use Polymerization). This card gains 500 ATK and DEF for each other face-up “M☆gic” card you control. When this card is Fusion Summoned: You can Special Summon 1 “M☆gic Sign” monster from your Main Deck. During either player’s turn: You can return this card to the Extra Deck; Special Summon 2 “M☆gic Sign” monsters with different names from face-up in your Extra Deck. This effect of "M☆gic Sign - Marvel" can only be activated once per turn. This limits how often you can de-fuse and re-fuse into marvel to refill the field and overfill the field with fusions, without completely killing the deck. So this way you can still summon Marvel at least 3 times in one turn, so long as you aren't blocked (assuming you run more than one Marvel, like a good player would), but it prevents you from then defusing for 3 Royalty and going for the OTK. As for the spell cards, they're both perfectly balanced and really help speed up the Deck, with the quickplay being able to respond to twin twister or other cards that would destroy your pendulum zones, and let you plus off them instead.
