Horus the Black Flame Dragon LV12

lv 12 FIRE

Dragon/Effect

Cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. Must be Special Summoned by tributing 1 "Horus the Black Flame Dragon LV10" you control and banishing 3 "Horus the Black Flame Dragon" monsters from either your hand or graveyard with different levels and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. This card is unaffected by your opponents Spell Cards. While this card is face-up on the field, negate effects of all face-up Spell Cards your opponent controls and your opponent cannot activate Spell Cards. Once per turn: you can banish all Spell Cards from your opponents graveyard; inflict 300 points of damage to your opponent for each card banished by this effect.

Black Flame Guardian

Warrior/Effect

While you control a "Horus the Black Flame Dragon" monster, you can Special Summon this card from your hand. During either players turn: when your opponent activates a card effect that would target 1 "Horus the Black Flame Dragon" monster you control: negate the activation of that card and destroy it. You can only activate each effect of "Black Flame Guardian" once per turn.

Your opponent cannot attack "Black Flame" monsters you control except "Black Flame Berserker". Increase this cards ATK by 300 for each "Black Flame" card in your graveyard.

You can discard this card from your hand: Special Summon 1 "Black Flame" Monster from your deck or graveyard to your side of the field. You can only activate this effect of "Black Flame Summoner" once per turn.

Spellcaster/Effect

When this card is Normal Summoned: you can banish this face-up card and Level 6 or lower "Horus the Black Flame Dragon" monster from your graveyard; Special Summon 1 Level 8 or lower "Horus the Black Flame Dragon" monster from either your hand, deck or graveyard whose Level is equal to the combined level of the banished monsters while ignoring its summoning condition.

Black Flame Rebirth

Spell Card

Special Summon 1 Level 8 or lower "Black Flame" monster from your graveyard ignoring its summoning condition. If the Summoned monster was a Level 6 or higher "Horus the Black Flame Dragon" monster: its effects are negated. You can only activate "Black Flame Rebirth" once per turn.

 

Black Flame Egg

Spell Card

Add 1 "Horus the Black Flame Dragon LV4" from your deck or graveyard to your hand. You can banish this card from your graveyard; add 1 "Horus the Black Flame Dragon" monster from your deck to your hand. You can only activate one "Black Flame Egg" effect per turn and only once that turn.

 

Black Flame Spiral

Trap Card

Activate this card while you control a "Horus the Black Flame Dragon" monster. Inflict damage to your opponent equal to the level of the "Horus the Black Flame Dragon" monster you control with the highest level times 300. You can only activate one "Black Flame Spiral" per turn.

 

Black Flame Eclipse

Trap Card

Activate this card while you control a "Horus the Black Flame Dragon" monster. Negate the effects of your opponents face-up monsters until the End-Phase this turn. If you control a Level 8 or Higher "Horus the Black Flame Dragon" negate the effects of all face-up cards until the End-Phase this turn instead.

Black Flame Drgon LV 10 is the logical extension of LV8's effect,letting you negate spell cards, which is a really good effect considering how many useful spell cards there are in the game right now. Level 12 is even better since there are a few spell cards which can be banished from the graveyard to gain even more effects, so while the burn effect probably wouldn't get you more than 1000 in any turn, it's good for stopping certain cards. I do have one question; can your other monsters be tributed for its summoning? Or do you have to tribute 3 dragon monsters? It needs 4 tributes, which is more than the Egyptian God Cards need to summon. Maybe you could change it to '3 "Black Flame" Monsters' or 'LV 10 and 2 "Black Flame" Monsters. Guardian and Berserker are good for protecting your dragons while Summoner and Offering give you more ways to summon them. Egg and Rebirth spells give you more search power. Eclipse is a good trap to give you protection against monster and card effects. Spiral is ok, but my main problem is that it seems a bit out of place. The whole series is based on spell negation and then there's a random burn Trap Card. At best you can deal 3600 damage if you have LV 12 so you could defeat someone if they were under half their LP. I suspect though, the highest level you'd consistently get out is level 8, since it requires you to tribute 2 different monsters, (4 and 6) while 10 and 12 require more strict summoning conditions. This is also because your Rebirth and Offering cards only work on LV 8 or lower, so you have no way to bring out the stronger ones except for Summoner.

 

Speaking of which, does it ignore summoning conditions? Because all LV8+ BFD's require the special summon by tributing the previous monster in the chain. You could try editing its effect. For example:

You can discard this card from your hand: Special Summon 1 "Black Flame" Monster from your deck or graveyard to your side of the field, ignoring its summoning condition. Its effects are negated and it is destroyed during the end phase of this turn. You can only activate this effect of "Black Flame Summoner" once per turn.

 

This way, the card summons any dragon in the series, but it would prevent you from bringing out a 4k beater at the start of the game that could shut down your opponent's spells. This seems like the most likely way it would be written in the TCG.

Alternatively, you could change its effect to:

 You can discard this card from your hand: Special Summon 1 LV 6 or lower "Black Flame" Monster from your deck or graveyard to your side of the field. You can only activate this effect of "Black Flame Summoner" once per turn.

 

This way, it can summon the lower level monsters in order to get to the big'uns. I think you might have meant to use the first errata, where it can summon any LV BFD straight from your deck or graveyard. 

 

As it is now, this series seems like it would be good at making Rank 4, 6 and possibly 8 Xyz monsters, which all have really strong card pools for any deck that can make them. Especially Rank 8 dragons. I don't think you have to make any cards, since this could be a good series to mix in with some preexisting cards.

 

I think the only other thing that would really help, besides Extra Deck monsters (which most decks can benefit from) is a way to power up these cards. LV's 4 and 6 need to actually destroy a monster to summon the higher levels, so maybe some cards to increase their power.

This is just a really good set of cards to help some that already exist in the game.
