The Hope of III Cards

Normal Spell Card

Banish 3 cards from your hand, face-down; add 1 card from your Deck to your hand. You cannot Normal or Special Summon the turn you activate this effect. You can only activate 1 "The Hope of III Cards" per turn.

 

I'm still not sure if this is a good idea, despite having so many restrictions. This card can be used in Exodia decks, which is what makes me think that it's problematic because it can search any of the Exodia pieces, but at least it has a hard OPT.

I haven't seen Exodia decks lately, but yeah they will use this as another excuse to ditch "filler" and retrieve key cards. But taking them out of the equation for a while, it's theoretically a faster, but a lot more costly version of Sarc. Nothing wrong with a free generic search, but whatever Deck that uses this card is just going to have to rely on their backrow / set monsters for a while.

 

I guess it could be useful for grabbing that one staple card you want (if it means those three cards to you), but everything else is probably covered by the rest of the Deck's members, especially given Archetypal stuff. So yeah, not really seeing a viable use for this, outside of searching staples or something.
