Is There a Limit to What Pictures I can use?

Such as can I use Pictures from other anime and stuff like that or do I actually have to draw the cards?

15. Rule on image usage

 

While you are permitted to use any images you choose, they cannot exceed PG-16 at the highest. In other words, if the image is more explicit than what the OCG uses for their card art, then you should not use it. 

 

If you have any doubts about an image, please PM one of us to look it over beforehand. A reminder that YCM is intended for members ages 13 and above (and we may have guests who are underage), and we cannot permit any form of inappropriate material. 

 

If you use artwork from deviantArt or another source, make sure you either get permission and/or credit the artist. This is to give them credit for their works. Also check that the artwork is free for usage; some things are not. If we get a complaint about you using artwork without permission or crediting an artist, we are obligated to remove the cards in question.

 

In other words, please make sure you credit people, even if you borrow stuff from the Showcase galleries. Posting either an image link to where you have obtained the image or the author's name will suffice.

 

(There is a form beneath for artist complaints. Do NOT use the form in the News forum, as that one is largely outdated and we do not have access to that email address otherwise)

I'm the one who wrote that rule, so yeah, you can use whatever images you want, provided it's not explicitly sexual / gory and you're allowed to use them. You can draw the pics if you want, but not everyone is a good artist. 

 

Or you can do written cards; can't get in trouble for doing this.
