When this card is Normal Summoned: You can draw 1 card, also, after that, change this card to face-down Defense Position. You can only use this effect of "Fiend of Greed" once per turn.

Personally, I don't think you need the hard OPT on this card, considering that Ultimate Offering is banned right now and I don't believe there are other cards that this card could plus off of anyway to use multiple Normal Summons for copies. If it were any Summon, then yeah, you'd need the OPT, but not so much here.

 

Otherwise, it's just a free draw on summoning that forces you to switch it to Defense Position, and prohibits you from using it for ED stuff. I think you could just leave it as an optional draw effect without the forced Defense Position effect, however I may be overlooking certain Decks that would love to take advantage of this.

This card was born to support Subterrors and of course any other deck that can take advantage of. Its 2nd part of the eff helps to SS any Subterror Behemoth from hand. Subterrors are continue to lack of consistency. And also, this can't be searched I think.

 

Since it has trigger effect, you can use Mask Change II or Enemy Controller to use the new monster for ED I guess.
