Well to be fair Yu-Gi-Oh's hairstyles can't evolve either because how can you evolve from Yami Yugi's!?

As for DMG, I may be culpable of some negligence there. :S

Glad to see she's still in, though. That said, I'd probably vote Trishula over DMG if it came down to it. :P

All sorta kinkery with 3 heads

*cough Diglett porn cough*

Today is a glorious victory and I am very happy. Yes, I said the spirit of the event was crass and stupid and that I hoped to undermine it, words I stand by because:

A) Waifus are not real people.

B) Every real person's got their own sexual niche and gestalt, none of which are accurately represented in waifuism.

C) Dragon supremacy.

D) Quotes like this were only increasing in their quantity and earnestness:

Note: It probably sounds I'm upset someone I liked is atm losing. It really isn't that. Elesa isn't even my top three from B/W.

We've got too many YCMers out here sifting through obscure animé they otherwise wouldn't touch, including bad sequels to children's shows that don't deserve airtime, just for waifus to add to their comprehensive waifu master lists of female caricatures designed to pander to adolescent fantasies for our hard-earned yen. As if said waifus resembled human beings any more than Trishula, Dragon of the Ice Barrier. By voting in Trishula, we've turned the crassness and stupidity of this event on its head and rendered it the joke that it is. It is a much more productive and rewarding use of one's appetites for love/lust to get out there and hunt for mates, especially if it involves turning on your fellow man. I promise.

tl;dr

YOUR WAIFU IS INDEED sheet. TRISHULA WINS! GO SUCK A DICK.

Or maybe, juuuust maybe, it's perfectly okay to enjoy and connect (sometimes emotionally) to characters because, in the end, characters are things that are meant to be experienced and enjoyed.

I really do not understand your issue with people choosing certain characters they feel more attached to than others.

Also unsure why you must equate "waifu" with "hunting for mates" as if the majority of people here actually are using them as a surrogate.

Honestly the fact you're so gung-ho about this "anti-waifu" stance is a bit worrisome.

For the record the major reason I didn't vote for Trishula isn't because she isn't human.

It's because she doesn't have much character.

I feel like this waifu thing has been taken too...literally.

I feel that animé in particular is prone to fan-service, pandering to demographics and funking up female characters. This tournament is dedicated to those funked up female characters, specifically.

Well, I have been choosing Trishula all this time.

If this tournament had anything to do with character, it might not have been necessary for something as devoid of character as Trishula to win.

I'll show you "a bit worrisome".

I didn't realize you knew each character nominated and the thoughts and feelings of everyone who voted for them.

In more seriousness I guess there's just not much to say because these statements are ridiculous and flimsy in my opinion. I could "argue" against them but I don't find any merit to arguing against such broad and generalizing statements.

I guess enjoy whatever sense of victory you got out of this.

I'm just happy to look back and see which characters were preferred and which beat which.

If I didn't genuinely feel I'd gotten to know them all to well, from the many, many threads that lead to the inception of the original Waifu Wars to now, I would not have felt the ethereal call to action that I did.

I guess enjoy whatever sense of victory you got out of this.

I take a different stance than Polaris here. People like tyr, garland, and other tcg'ers play YGO and have a fondness for one of the most badass YGO females ever created.

They also don't know that a waifu war is going on.

Educating them of this places location isn't wrong. Plenty of people voted against my initial recommendation, and they should have if they felt so. Anyway!

funk YEAH

I'd also happily marry Trishy, and on occasion send her out to have a pointedly chilling convo with people who irritated me
