It's okay, I only nominated DMG to pander to YCMers while representing postpubescence and YGO. She had a fairly good run what with making the top 10, so I wasn't entirely wrong. :j

sorry bout that. not my type of waifu. had you picked nekroz of sophia though, that would have been an instavote from me though.

hm? i thought the point of a voting war had always been about who could get the most people to vote though? if you can get more people interested in the vote, why wouldn't you try to do so? that's the essence of voting isn't it?

I would have to disagree. My thought is it's about what each individual actually likes more and cares about enough to vote for. There has been an admittance to someone voting for one they didn't actually care about just because of being asked. In my opinion that takes away from the "Which is best" idea that these poll tournaments tend to run on.

It's not like a campaign where you convince someone your choice is the better choice. It's an individuals opinion.

I said it before but I enjoyed these because it showed what each person thought and had as a preference. It was fun to see what YCM liked the most. Now I can't be sure if it's that or just "Might as well cause I was asked" or such.

well, asking somebody to vote is to ask them to give their opinion. and if they decide to go in to vote, then i see no reason to not accept that as their actual opinion, considering there's no reason to believe otherwise. and if you can convince somebody that your choice is better, why wouldn't you? that's how most popularity polls i've sen work regardless, you make your case, and you hope it's persuasive. for example, had elizabeth (persona 3) or chie (persona 4) been on either of those polls, not a person here would have convinced me to vote against either one unless they were on the same poll, in which case i cry if you want your character to win, you've got to put some effort into promotion no?

i cannot speak for anybody else, but i would not have voted for anybody had i actually not liked them (or had i liked their opposition more). those were both my legit answers, whether or not i have been asked to vote.

Last thing I will say is someone told me (in regards to last round) they liked Korrina more than Trishula but voted the latter as a favor to the person who asked them to vote. So it plants that seed of doubt in my mind of a possibility for more.

Hence why imo it's safest to let people choose on their own and, at most, advertise that the Polls in general (all of them) are up.

interesting, but overall, that remains their choice. if they accept it, i see no reason to object. i personally disagree with voting against a character if you really like them, but to each their own.

You can say no, you know. I supported Ana despite her running against my best friends nom in her poll. Unless there was forcing or threats involved, I see no issue. Tomfoolery happened on both sides Cow

CowCow I expressed my side of the argument in PM, and don't wish to relitigate it now due to it amounting to little more than public doxxing. But you know fully well that this isn't all black or white

Trishula v. Elesa has a lot of significance beyond Waifu Wars. The reasons to vote for Trishula aren't that she's cute or would make a good wife, but that she's an absurd, violent juxtaposition.

All mods who voted were for Elesa, and all Jesuits who voted were for Trishula. Perhaps the most amazing thing about Trishula v. Elesa is that in 41 votes *nobody* abstained, in a tournament characterized by people abstaining a lot.
