Sengen Taisha (LIGHT)

****

[Fairy/Spirit/Effect]

You can only control 1 face-up "Sengen Taisha". You can banish 1 Spirit Monster from your hand to Special Summon this card (from your hand). Once per turn: You can banish 1 Spirit Monster in your Graveyard; negate the effect of all Spirit Monsters you control during this turn's End Phase.

Effect is cute, but a lot of Spirits (mostly level 6 or lower, ones you can easily summon) have effects that trigger when they're summoned, so this only really helps with things like Hino-Kagu-Tsuchi and Yamata Dragon, which are 2-Tribute monsters. That and you go -1 to Summon this thing from your hand, so 60% of the time this really isn't worth it.

Also, shouldn't it have the Spirit clauses? (no SS, return to hand, etc.[Although Yamato-no-Kami doesn't have the former.]) 'Cause otherwise this really has no place as a Spirit monster if it doesn't.

So giving it and effect when Summoned (I don't know, something like being able to add a Spirit Monster from Graveyard/Deck) would make it more useful?

About the no SS clause, I didn't put there since it had an effect to Special Summon itself. For the "return to the hand" clause, I wanted to try out not putting it (like Yamato) but I didn't really know if it would be a good idea

I wasn't saying you should give it an On-Summon effect at all. I was just saying for what it is, it really doesn't do much.

Also, Yamato DOES return to the hand. The Spirit clause that it breaks is the "No Special Summons" clause.

Good work man! I love the artwork. Also it breaks away from most spirit monsters, as it can be special summoned and does not return to the hand during the end phase of the turn it is summoned. I do think it is creative, but I do think the -1 would be ver horrific for spirits of all things, I think you could make it summon itself when a spirit is on the field, you agree?
