Let There Be Rocks

Normal Spell Card

Lore: If you control no monsters: Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower Rock-type monster from your Deck. You can only activate 1 "Let There Be Rocks" per turn.

Obviously designed as an Unexpected Dai for Rocks.

Probably opens up possibilities for a lot of dumb plays, but Triamids, Rockstun, and Magnets are the only somewhat relevant decks that can run this, at least as far as I can recall. So it shouldn't be too crazy.

Also a cookie for you if you get the reference within the card's name.

CnC?

It's really good, but I wouldn't call it fair, unfortunately. Unexpected Dai gets away with it because it makes use of Normal Monsters, and thus have no effects, while giving them a boon. But some Rocks have really good effects, namely the Koa'ki Rocks and Fossil Dyna; I would very much enjoy playing this along Ties of the Brethren to call for 3 different stun Rocks, without spending the Normal Summon yet; and while summoning Dyna with this will lock you out from any Special Summoning plays, you are locking the opponent too, and the card serves its purpose by searching for it.

Then, the card is quite lacking in creativity IMO since it's basically a carbon copy of Unexpected Dai for Rocks.

I was thinking that to compensate for it, also to make it slightly different to Dai, you could make the card destroy the monster at the end of the turn; that way, you don't get to keep the stun rock and instead encourages to use it as material for a Summon, while setting up grave fodder for, let's say, Block Golem or Block Dragon. And after that, you could even venture with making it a Quick-Play, further deviating from Dai, plus for a surprise Dyna or Koa'ki Rock during the opponent's turn, effectively playing it as a negation card.
