Monsters you control linked to this card cannot be targeted for attacks and by your opponents card effects. Monsters your opponent controls linked to this card have their effects negated and must attack this card (if possible).

So Berserk Blader is a powerhouse card where it effects monsters based on which side they are on where it protects monsters you control and negates your opponents monsters effects and forces them to attack this card. In addition this card gains 100 ATK for each monster from both players graveyards giving this card a bloodlust type vibe to it plus it has to attack if possible.
