Some generic Fusion Monster support, banishes opponent's monsters, but returns them if it leaves the field. To keep it alive and well, use 4 or more monsters to Fusion Summon it and make it become a stronger monster. Tokens are recommended for that.

3 or more monsters (max. 5)
When this card is Fusion Summoned: You can target 1 monster your opponent controls; banish it face-down. If this card leaves the field, return that monster to the field in face-down Defense Position. If this card is Fusion Summoned by using 4 or more monsters, this card cannot be destroyed by battle or card effects, also it gains 500 ATK and DEF.

It's also an Instant Fusion target for a temporary removal, or a permanent one if you use the monster for a Xyz Summon afterwards.

What happens if you banish a Link Monster, since it cannot come back in face-down Defense Position?

Oh wait, the summoning requirements also scream for erratad Future Fusion. How about that massive, selective milling of Lightsworns, Infernoids, Fairy Tail - Snow, etc.? Yeah... seems abusable to me.

On the other hand, the 5+ fusion materials effect is quite underwhelming, IMO. 2800 ATK/DEF and only protection from destructions? It wouldn't be that threatening with all the non-destructive effect removal and big beaters around.

Link Monsters can't be in Defense Position, so they would go to the Graveyard.

Future Fusion, well I suppose limiting it to just 5 would solve most of that issue. Not that I think it would be a big deal since Future Fusion takes a while to get going compared to other cards.

Perhaps, but it's suppose to be as generic as possible, so making it too powerful seems like a bad idea.
