Monochrome [written] card names matter

So this is an archetype that's gone through quite a few revisions. The gist of it is that it's an archetype focusing on card name based shenanigans and ABC type contact fusions. I think that it's pretty interesting at least, but it may or may not need some more support. Anyways, here it is.

[spoiler=Main Deck]Name: Monochromia

Card: Effect Monster

Level: 3

Attribute: Earth

Type: Fiend

Effect: Once per turn, during either player's turn: You can reveal 1 "Monochromatic" Fusion Monster in your Extra Deck, and if you do, this card's name becomes the same as the revealed Fusion Monster's. Once per turn: You can discard 1 card; add 1 card from your Deck to your hand that specifically lists this card's name in its card text.

ATK: 1250

DEF: 1250

So this is the only monster that the archetype has, and it's also the monster that gets the combos going. There's really not much to say about it besides that.

Name: Monochromatic Name

Card: Continuous Spell

Effect: Once per turn: You can reveal 1 "Monochromatic" Fusion Monster in your Extra Deck, and if you do, this card's name becomes the same as the revealed Fusion Monster's, also, until the end of the turn, cards you control with that name cannot be targeted or destroyed by opponent's card effects. During your Main Phase: You can banish this card and 1 other "Monochrom" card from your Graveyard; add 1 "Monochromia" from your Deck to your hand.

Also the other combo opener. This is the only card that Monochromia can search without changing its name. Removed HOPT.

Name: Monochromatic Vision

Card: Continuous Spell

Effect: This card's name becomes "Monochromatic Fantasy" while it is banished or in the Graveyard. Once per turn: You can target 1 other face-up card on the field and 1 of your banished "Monochrom" cards; negate that first target's effects until the end of the turn, and if you do, add that second target to your hand.

So there are three continuous spell/traps that have their names treated as the extra deck monsters names, which is how you actually summon the extra deck monsters. Lets you regain some of the advantage lost through discarding for the monsters.

Name: Monochrome Frame

Card: Continuous Trap

Effect: This card's name becomes "Monochromatic Ruminations" while it is banished or in the Graveyard. Once per turn: You can target 1 of your banished "Monochromatic" cards or 1 face-up "Monochromatic" card you control; Special Summon 1 Monster with the same name as that target from the Extra Deck, ignoring the summoning conditions, and if you do, shuffle that target into the Deck.

Cheats out your extra deck monsters, yay. Removed extra deck return.

Name: Monochrome Memory

Card: Continuous Trap

Effect: This card's name becomes "Monochromatic Nostalgia" while it is banished or in the Graveyard. Once per turn: You can target 1 of your banished "Monochrom" cards; until the End Phase, this card's name becomes that banished card's current name, and replace this effect with that card's original effects, and if you do, shuffle that target into the Deck.

This only really works because the archetype has no non-continuous spell/traps.

[spoiler=Extra Deck Monsters]Name: Monochromatic Fantasy

Card: Fusion Monster

Level: 6

Attribute: Earth

Type: Fiend

Effect: "Monochromatic Nostalgia" + "Monochromatic Rumination"

Must first be Special Summoned (from your Extra Deck) by banishing the above cards you control and/or from your Graveyard. (You do not use "Polymerization".) You can only Special Summon "Monochromatic Fantasy" once per turn this way. Once per turn, during either player's turn: You can discard 1 card, then declare 1 card name; cards with that name, and their effects, cannot be used until the end of the turn.
ATK: 2500
DEF: 2500

A prohibition/psi-blocker effect, but it's a bit (a lot) stronger since it's during either player's turn. The wording of this shouldn't negate normal spell/traps or effects of cards if it's activated in response. The once per turn on the summon is to limit rank 6 abuse, though that's probably less of a problem in vrains era. Removed HOPT.

Name: Monochromatic Nostalgia

Card: Fusion Monster

Level: 6

Attribute: Earth

Type: Fiend

Effect: "Monochromatic Fantasy" + "Monochromatic Rumination"

Must first be Special Summoned (from your Extra Deck) by banishing the above cards you control and/or from your Graveyard. (You do not use "Polymerization".) You can only Special Summon "Monochromatic Nostalgia" once per turn this way. Once per turn, during either player's turn: You can discard 1 card, then declare 1 card name; look at your opponent's hand, and banish all cards with that name from their hand and Graveyard until the End Phase.
ATK: 2500
DEF: 2500

Pseudo-mind crush, but also grave hate. Removed HOPT.

Name: Monochromatic Rumination

Card: Fusion Monster

Level: 6

Attribute: Earth

Type: Fiend

Effect: "Monochromatic Fantasy" + "Monochromatic Nostalgia"

Must first be Special Summoned (from your Extra Deck) by banishing the above cards you control and/or from your Graveyard. (You do not use "Polymerization".) You can only Special Summon "Monochromatic Rumination" once per turn this way. Once per turn, during either player's turn: You can discard 1 card, then declare 1 card name; return all face-up cards with that name to the hand.
ATK: 2500
DEF: 2500

Removal/self bounce depending on what you need. Removed HOPT.

So yeah, there's not much more to say about the archetype, but I would love some feedback.

Before I really begin, I must ask; when you say that Monochromia can eventually search the other S/T by changing its name, however it can only search from the Deck, and the other S/T only change names while in the Graveyard/banished zone place thing. Am I missing something, or was this not intentional?

It has the wording of the dark magician supports, in that it searches for cards that list the name in their text rather than cards with that name. All of the ones that change names list the name in their text.

Right, sorry.

Monochromia's normal OPT to both effects allows for to be used repeatedly in the turn, meaning it's actually useful as a main card. Not much to say other than it definitely seems to work as a base for the archetype.

Substituting spells for Fusion Materials? Certainly seems like an interesting mechanic, done a little better than the Legendary Dragons. Name also has a nice Graveyard effects, with no HOPT. The searching doesn't need HOPT though, so that's fine, but the protection effect doesn't seem to be great...true, it protects the spell for a bit, but chances are you won't be Summoning that monster unless you have a great hand...perhaps reveal 1 other Fusion monster or something?

Vision allows for cycling the mats and effect negation, which are a pretty neat combo. Is useful, doesn't need tweaking.

Frame gives use for the name change in the banished zone, and gives much more speed in terms of getting them out...and actually combines well with Name. Also allows for early game plays with Monochromia, and the returning...I guess prevents leaving it out? Although generally this card would be a bridging card, it is a trap, so it takes a while to actually get in the groove.

Memory, oh memory. Not only substituting material but substituting the substitutions so you can use the substitutions to substitute more substitutions. Now that that fun is over, shuffling and slow OPT makes this card perhaps a bit slow (being a trap again) but at least not broken. Good stuff. I think there may be a minor problem with grabbing materials, but heck, Foolish Burial of Belongings exists, allowing you to instantly get half of any of these monsters.

Dunno about "used" on Fantasy, but Psi-Blocker has almost the exact wording so I guess you are allowed this time. Yes, it doesn't negate in response, but the lack of OPT of any sort on the blocking worries me. I mean, this deck thrives on materials in the graveyard, all you have to do is discard 4 cards, declare 4 vital card names, then use those 4 cards as materials next turn.  Just realized the HOPT at the end applies to this effect. Eh, remove it. With the OPT on Summon, you can afford to give it normal OPT on the main effect, considering that's all it does. Other than that, good blocking card.

More locking for card names on Nostalgia? Fun fun fun. Honestly considering the lack of protection for these cards and their OPT Summon you could probably get away with OPT on their main effects....except Memory and Frame can get them out too, so perhaps wait for a second opinion on that.

So, we have pro-active hate, and field hate. Good stuff. Shame none of these cards prevents Summons, but I guess combining Fantasy and Rumination does basically do that. Plus points for connecting names to effects, by the by.

These cards might be annoying af, but they are lacking a bit in protection and speed. However, I think these are minor issues, and this could probably make a pretty good rogue deck. Congrats.
