Make a Pokemon

Recommended Posts

I inexplicably want to make pokemon instead of yugioh cards. Not big in the competitive scene though, so I dunno how these ideas might pan out. Any thoughts, suggestions, even 'mon of your own would be appreciated. Cheers!

Nareene (Submarine + Narwhal)

No Evo line

Water/Steel

Looks like a narwhal but with mechanical fins and a horn. Animation-wise, when it does a physical attack, it pulls its fins into its body and launches itself like a torpedo.

Abilities:

Rivalry

(Hidden) Autoreact - if your opponent would attack you with a super-effective attack, you get +1 priority.

BST: 100/90/70/52/85/103 (500)

Some natural level-up moves:

Horn Attack

Laser Focus

Spike Cannon

Aqua Jet

Iron Defense

Fake Out

Iron Head

Lock-on

Head Charge

Nareene typically live in the ocean depths. The deeper it lives, the harder its metal appendages are said to become. Though fairly docile, Nareene can become fairly competitive and often test the strength of their horns. It is said that submarine technology was established by scientists observing Nareene behavior.

Acion (Scientific name for Cheetah + Ion)

Evolves into Zabatus

Electric

Slender, four-legged yellow wildcat whose fur is always on edge. The outside of its legs stretch up in a silver color in the shape of a lightning bolt. Its lower legs (close to its paws) are bound with what look like silvery coils.

Abilities:

Run Away

Quick Feet

(Hidden) Static

BST: 35/55/30/30/45/100 (295)

Some natural level-up moves:

Scratch

Helping Hand

Quick-attack

Bite

Nuzzle

Assist

Take Down

Detect

Discharge

Me First (cannot learn if evolves)

Acion live in the Savannah. They are very playful in nature and love trying to catch things on their own. The coils on their legs store up electricity when they aren't moving. When they wish to increase their speed, they discharge the electricity for a temporary boost.

Zabatus (Zap + Scientific name for Cheetah)

Evolves from Acion (Thunderstone)

Electric/Fighting

Lighter and leaner than its pre-evolution, its back has a distinct arch to it giving it the look of lightning shooting along the ground. The silver of its preevolution gives way to more camouflaged greens and browns. The coils that originally wound near its paws now stretch up and along its sides giving it the appearance of exhaust pipes.

Abilities:

Hustle

Reckless

(Hidden) Teslate - Turns Normal-type moves into Electric-type moves.

BST: 65/100/55/50/65/138 (473)

Some natural level-up moves:

(LV 1) Extremespeed

(LV 1) Quick Guard

(LV 1) Reversal

(LV 1) Thunder Fang

Tangle (baka-type/PHYS/80 pwr/Locks opponent in battle (Mean Look)/100% accurate)

Chip Away

As Thunderstones are rare in Acion's and Zabatus' natural habitat, seeing a wild Zabatus is said to be a sign of good fortune. These noble pokemon are known to give their prey a fighting chance, though more often than not their prey gets overwhelmed by the speed of Zabatus' attacks.

Y'yongo (Mostly derived from Yo-yo)

Evolves into ?? (no name)

Water

Near spherical in shape, Y'yongo are spiral-shelled pokemon with eyes on either side of the shell and a backwards-facing hole. It moves around by quickly shooting its tendrils out its hole, propelling it forward, and slowly rewinding itself. People have described its movements as being like a bad yo-yoer.

Abilities:

Swift Swim

Sturdy

(Hidden) Restriction - if a pokemon is wrapped/bound, by this pokemon, all their stats are deminished (ie. -1 in all stats)

BST: 70/30/40/50/55/30 (275)

Some natural level up moves:

Constrict

Withdraw

Bubble

Neuro Sting (POI-type/SPEC/15 pwr/30% paralyze chance)

Whirlpool

Iron Defense

Stockpile/Swallow/Spit-up

Ensnare (NRM-type/PHYS/30 pwr/Wrap Effect + 100% chance to lower 1 random stat/90% accurate)

Shell Smash

Y'yongo live in shallow seabeds. They grow in colonies. As they get older, their shells gain more spirals. The odd poisons they secrete are often used in supplements for mental disease. Even though they cannot move very well on land, their tentacled grips are still very powerful. A group of Y'yongo have been known to paralyze and take down an Indian elephant.
