Thomas★Zero Posted June 28, 2017 Report Share Posted June 28, 2017 Equal Link Spell Card Special Summon 2 Monsters from your GY with different names and the same level but their effects are negated and are banished during the End Phase this turn. During the turn you activate this card you cannot Synchro or Xyz Summon Monsters from your Extra Deck. You can only activate "Equal Link" once per turn. So with Equal Link basically allowing for easy set up for Link 2 or 3 monsters by bring back 2 monsters from the grave where their banished during the end of the turn also prevents the user from abusing the card for Synchro and Xyz plays with it and has a hard OPT clause to balance it. «CØgni§» Posted June 29, 2017 Report Share Posted June 29, 2017 I'm just going to say, this card is strong to the point of OP, even if the cards are around for 1 turn only and have no effects. Outside of Link, you play this in conjunction with some back-row hate on 2 Lv 7+ monsters, you could potentially OTK them the ol' fashioned way. Not only this, but some Fusion Decks (Cyber, Hero, Blue-Eyes etc.) would still be able to use this to their advantage (Chimeratech springs to mind here, as that one's a contact fusion). Honestly, the only way I can see of saving this card would be making it restrictive to the point of "You can only Special Summon Link Monsters from your Extra Deck the turn you play this card" type effect (I know my OCG is probably off here), with a clause that makes the monsters not be able to attack this turn either. However, as a Link enabler, it does it's job well. So, it is a card that does what it says. It just needs to be more restrictive in my eyes.
