Normal Trap Card

When a monster(s) is Summoned and you control at least 1 monster: Until the end of this turn, banish all face-up monsters on the field, also Monster Card zones that were occupied by the monsters banished by this effect cannot be used. You can only actívate 1 "Interdimensional Tribute" per turn.

The Zone lock effect isn't fully clear: does it last only that turn, or the "this turn" refers to the monsters that were banished that turn by the card? This is important because the latter interpretation would make the Zone lock permanent, but that's most likely not the intention.

IMO, you can get away with banishing without the need of at least 1 monster on each side; that keeps the card playable while you are in a disadvantageous position; and it's not like the players lose the monsters entirely unlike with Torrential Tribute, so it should remain fair.

The lock only last that turn, i didnt know how to word it correctly but yes the intention is to avoid a plan B, which makes it not optimal if you use it in your turn.

Fair enough i though something to balance it was needed but you got a point monsters return is almost guaranteed since their  zones are locked.

Hold on, you are right, the Zones remain locked. IDK if that makes the card more dangerous because it can prevent the opponent from setting up a new board or at least defending after having its monsters banished by this card, depending on how many monster he/she got banished.

As for the card text, it's mostly a matter of moving the "this turn":

When a monster(s) is Summoned: Banish all face-up monsters on the field (min. 1 from each side), also, until the end of this turn, Monster Card Zones that were occupied by the monsters banished by this effect cannot be used.
