Ant Eater's Party Hosting (based on Antlions)

Normal Spell

Special Summon Level 4 or below Insect monsters with different names from your deck in Attack Position, but while on the field: their ATK and DEF become 0, their effects are negated, and they're destroyed during the End Phase. You cannot Special Summon other monsters from the deck or Extra Deck the turn you activate this card.

Flower Gathering is a "Flower Cardian" card that Special Summons 4 Cardians with 100 ATK and different names from your deck, but their effects are negated and they're destroyed during the End Phase. It has a bunch of other restrictions but the thing that matters is that it's essentially a +3, which is nuts.

Insects are terrible, but they have the potential of being good with a couple support cards that give the decks some synergy.

They have a lot of "Sangan"-like cards to their name, like Resonance Insect and Retaliating "C". There's also Bee List Soldier which Tributes as a cost, so it effects will still work, allowing you to tribute 2 of the monsters to draw 2 cards, and then search your deck for rather a level 5 or higher Insect by tributing Resonance Insect or a EARTH Insect with 1500 ATK or less if you tribute Retaliating "C", which means you can search Doom Dozer, or Maxx "C"

This may be in need of some adjusting since Bee List Soldier probably breaks this card, so I might go about it by making it so it can only Special Summon EARTH Insect monsters, since that would exclude the WIND Bee List Soldier.

I'm planning on making an entire archetype to fix LV archetypes, and they're going to be Ant Eaters so this is just a test to see if people are interested in helping out insects and LV monsters. Hope to hear your thoughts on the subject, and have a great day.

Text fix:

Special Summon Level 4 or lower Insect monsters with different names from your Deck in Attack Position, but their ATK and DEF become 0, they have their effects negated, also they are destroyed during the End Phase. You cannot Special Summon other monsters from the Deck or Extra Deck during the turn you activate this card.

Anyway, I agree that Insects would appreciate some support, but this is too much, IMO. Insects may not be relevant right now, but you never know if the next best thing will be insects; don't forget about Inzektors back then. I suggest to at the very least tone this card down to 2 Summons plus a hard OPT, and even then, a Rescue Cat for Insects in the shape of a Normal Spell, and thus not taking your Normal Summon, may remain too good.

Actually, I think Ties of the Brethren is a more appropriate comparison, but instead of paying 2000 LP, it destroys your monsters, hmm... it may be not too strong after all, but definitely reduce the Summoned monsters to 2 or maybe 3, but the latter feels like pushing it.

Probably going to be 2 anyway, but the idea was that I really didn't want to give the cards to every deck, so I wanted to make sure you were running at least 4 insects with different names. This is because of Bee List Soldier, which would make the card a Pot of Greed with a side of searching a Doom Dozer and a Maxx "C" during the end phase. I really didn't want to make it 2 since Ties of the Brethren already exists, but that may have to be necessary.

The "but while on the field" bit was to make sure that you could use the card effects in the GY, since the idea was that you summon stuff like Resonance Insect and Retaliating "C"

The OPT effect comes in the form of being unable to Special Summon from the deck for the rest of the turn, which means you can't actually use another until the next turn.

Ah, right, OPT clauses aren't needed. As for the "effects negated on the field only" clause, you can just add "they have their effects negated while they are on the field" or something among those lines. Also, what you can do to restrict it to mostly-Insect decks is to reveal 4+ Insects, and only Summon 2; think of Ariadne, Kozmo Tincan and Power Tool Dragon.
