Need help with a Yuya/Performapal deck...

Kevrog21

Question

I stumbled upon a x10 set of Yuya decks for $22 on eBay, so I bought it. Now I'm looking to make a Yuya deck using solely (or near solely) cards found from the deck. So basically, a x3 Yuya deck. Got any suggestions as to what the cards should be and how many of each?

Thanks ahead of time!

(Black may need to update this for MACR / post-ARC-V format eventually if it's still workable as this guide is 2 years old, but this should be a technical guide. Only problem is that it does contain staples and stuff)

But given the Deck's contents (assuming this is just Yuya's Starter Deck [2016], because other Decks don't have much to work with), let's see [considering that I am not a PPal player; that would be directed at Black].

  • 3 Secondonkey
  • 3 Longphone Bull
  • 1-2 Sleight Hand
  • 2-3 of the Pendulum PPals; you may want to change the numbers as necessary.
  • 3 OEPD (for searching)
  • 1-2 of the original Pendulum Magicians; honestly think they suck nowadays but Timegazer is your only Scale 8 in here to even make OEPD summonable fast w/out resorting to Tributes.
  • 3 Eccentrick.
  • 3 MST (it's generic S/T removal; run as much as you need to; wouldn't use Foucault too much because it's kinda slow, but you can try 1 copy if you want to for added destruction).
  • Book of Moon
  • Lightning Vortex (I would probably avoid using more than 1 due to not having much Graveyard retrieval).
  • Dark Bribe (maybe 1-2, but see how that works out for you)

I guess you could run Dramatic Theater / Showdown too; Pinch Helper is iffy. I wouldn't bother with Hip Hippo; only thing it's good for is either quicker fodder for Sleight Hand / OEPD and Carnival stuff. Pendulum support cards should probably be in here too if any.

Bottom-line, if you want to build a decent PPal deck, you will have to invest in cards from other packs. I'll assume this is for casual matches with friends as a more competitive build, like the one I linked to, require ED generics (which are either still expensive and/or out of stock). Some of the cards here work well as a starting point though.
