Warrior / Tuner / Effect

If you control no monsters, you can Special Summon this card (from your hand). During your Main Phase or your opponent's Battle Phase (Quick Effect): You can take 1 "Noble Arms" card from your Deck or GY, and either add it to your hand or equip it to a "Noble Knight" monster you control. If this card is in your GY: You can target 1 "Noble Knight" monster you control that has a Level; Special Summon from your Extra Deck 1 "Noble Knight" Xyz Monster with a Rank equal to its Level, using that target as material, and if you do, attach this card to it as material. (This Special Summon is treated as an Xyz Summon.) You can only use each effect of "Lamar, Apprentice of the Noble Knights" once per turn.

Couple problems:

  • At least get a Knight of the Round Table's name before you make a Noble Knight
  • If you're going to make it a Tuner I suggest making it a LV 1. This means you have much better access to the Synchro, which would be great for the Deck since it has been really an inconsistent card with lady of the Lake. It would also justify being a DARK monster, since all of the other LV 4 Noble Knights are LIGHT.
  • Photon Thrasher? I didn't know you were a Noble Knight. Gawayn was balanced because of that you had to have a Normal Monster, and that would sometimes conflict with Medraut and Borz.
  • The Quick Effect while also being an Equip from the Deck is a bit too op. I would rather the card at least have to be Equipped with an Equip Spell to gain the effect and then have to destroy an Equip card to use the effect. This would further ground it in the archetype and would justify the fact it's a Quick Effect.
  • So this part is kinda worthless. You don't get Equip Spells back, you banish a bunch of your Noble Knights (not something this Deck likes doing btw), and you can't even activate their destruction effects since they don't have Xyz materials unless you're banishing a pre placed Excaliburn.

My example of an edited version:

Lamar, Apprentice of the Noble Knights

DARK - Level 1 - Warrior/Tuner/Effect - 600 ATK/1000 DEF

While you control a LIGHT "Noble Knight" monster, you can Special Summon this card in Defense Position (from your hand). You can destroy 1 Equip Spell you control (Quick Effect): Equip 1 appropriate "Noble Arms" to a Warrior monster you control. At the start of your Standby Phase, while your opponent controls more monsters than you do: You can target 1 "Noble Knight" Xyz monster you control; attach this card to it as Xyz Material. You can only each effect of this card's name once per turn.

This would probably synergize a lot better with the Synchro AND the Xyz monster as a pseudo Treeborn Frog. Also would work for a possible Link monster, which they're expecting from Circuit Break.

All the names of the table were already used, thats why i didint give this an actual name, you seen to know NK better so thanks for the name suggestion

Quick effect now is an ignition effect to make it balanced

On the Xyz Summon i totally missed the material stuff and being treated as an xyz summon part, ill fix that

It wasnt my initial intention to be a Tuner, i made like that just because, but is still poor reasining from my part ill change it to a lvl 1 as well, that may synergize better with the apprentice stuff

Gawayn needing a normal monster to SS itself (and do nothing else) isnt balanced in 2017, but rather underwelming. Regardless of how easy should be to summon it most list i v seen dont play it because its just fodder not even a body because if im not mistaken it summons itself in Def mode.

I meant that the Phonton Thrasher effect makes it a generic Tuner that can Special Summon itself, while simultaneously screwing with Medraut. If you had it that you control a LIGHT Warrior or a "Noble Knight" monster, you could Summon Trish if you had it, Medraut, and a Noble Arms. You could also Summon the Noble Knight Synchro or Xyz. This means while this condition is easier to fulfill, in the Deck itself it actively conflicts with the synergies the Deck already has.

You specified "Main Phase" for the ignition effect, and you could only do it that turn. That is WAY over balanced. For starters, the cool parts of the effect are gone. In the Battle Phase. It would almost be like Honest, where you would get an Equip and it can rather increase the ATK by 1000 or protect it by battle or card effect.

Didn't catch this before, but you should probably include GY for the Equips since Borz mills several of your Equip cards and you can commonly find yourself running out of them late game.

Also "Knoble"? The title is wonky.

Lamar is based on Lamorak, who was a part of the round table but not well known.

Too much "Kn" i didnt notice. First effect changed to quick effect again but works like exciton, so  you wont plus just because during the opponent's turn and includes GY now
