While you control this face-up card, you can Normal Summon 1 "Dark Scorpion" in addition to your Normal Summon or set (you only gain this effect once per turn.) When this card inflicts battle damage to your opponent, apply 1 of the following effects.

* Banish 1 random card from your opponents hand face down.

* Banish 2 cards from to top of your opponents deck face down.

You can only activate this effect of "Dark Scorpion - Don Zaloog" once per turn.

(Quick Effect): you can banish this card and 1 "Dark Scorpion" or "Don Zaloog" Monster from your GY; target 1 "Dark Scorpion" or "Don Zaloog" Monster you control, battle damage dealt to your opponent by the targeted monster is doubled until the End Phase this turn. You can only activate each effect of "Dark Scorpion Assault Team" once per turn.

* This card can make an additional attack during the Battle Phase this turn (you only gain this effect once per turn.)

* Inflict 1000 damage to your opponent.

"Dark Scorpion" or "Don Zaloog" Monsters in zones this card points to can attack your opponent directly but when it uses through this effect, any Battle Damage that monster inflicts to your opponent is halved.

Activate this card while you control a "Don Zaloog" Monster. Special Summon as many "Dark Scorpion" or "Don Zaloog" Monsters with different names that are banished or from your GY to your side of the field. You can only activate "Dark Scorpions Revenge" once per turn.

So these cards help Dark Scorpions attain a new offensive style where the Spell and Traps help with Battle and Field Presence while the Monsters in addition bring on offensive power along with their Link Monster helping them deal damage to trigger their effects.
