LIGHT Fiend Level 8 Fusion

2200/1200

Effect: 1 DARK monster + 1 LIGHT monster

When this card is Fusion Summoned: You can negate the effects of 1 other monster on the field. This card can attack your opponent directly. Your opponent cannot target this card for attacks and for card effects.

This is a Fusion Monster with the similar summoning conditions of monsters in chaos Decks using LIGHTs and DARKs but requires a Polymerization of sorts. Like the name implies, since it is transparent, it can attack directly and it cannot be attacked and cannot be targeted by card effects. It also has a large negation of every other monsters on the field, including your own monsters as a drawback if you control monsters that needs their effects.

It is not often you see a 2700 direct attacker like this. Makes me think of Toons and Earthbounds. Though this is much more generic, easy to drop, and quick to attack with, plus the anti-target.

The Skill Drain/Numeron Force effect is a very strong one too, it may only affect what was face-up at the moment, but it affects them for the remainder of their time face-up.

Well to be fair, this era of the game can always have your cards ladder into something else. Though this is still a very powerful card.

Maybe the anti- effect target bit is kind of overboard? For such good effects, it is also hard to counter, as most of the effect negation backrow won't be able to target it. Though there is Skill Drain and Divine Wrath, and Memory Loss that can counter it. Guess it depends on how I look at it.

Maybe what it really would need is an ATK downgrade (I mean, it already cannot be attacked, so it can afford to have, say, 2000-2400-ish.... and keep everything else). Although Chaos themes do have a history of having more ATK than other attributes of their same era. There's no comparing Chaos Emperor with Gigantes after all xD

Other than my indecisive rambling up there, I also gotta say, I expected a card that worked with "Failed Subject Fusion" and/or "Fusion Continuum". This card seems to work with the latter so long as the materials are non-Effect. So that's a good bit of trivia regarding the [DPR] tag.
